So all of a sudden Røkke is pro private jets? Flip flop!
He's always been pro private jets, as long as it's his own

They want someone who knows English football, and working under SAF will have done him no harm at all (see Steve McClaren & Brian Kidd before him), the fact that Ole has gone a step further than McCLaren or Kidd by actually managing a team to a Championship in another country only adds to the interest.
Solskjær has former Molde manager Jonevret firmly on his side: http://www.tv2.no/sport/fotball/tip...er-moldeledelsen-for-dobbelmoral-3786563.html (He accuses Molde of being hypocritical as they made a deal with another manager before they fire him. He adds that Molde's media handling was poor in his four years at the club, he hopes they'll learn from this fiasco but he doubts it.)
Eirik, what's your and Molde fans' opinion on Jonevret? I liked him and thought he did a fine job until towards the end of his tenure. (I'd certainly much rather have him back than Rösler!)
Can't let this go..........McClaren won the Eredivisie with Twente (pronounced Tven-tuh not Twenty btw).
Gone where?

Ah yes, it just popped up here as well! VG are running with him pulling out because of family reasons.
That's that then, for now.
Sad to hear this
After last season, the prospect of some nice attacking football played on the deck was very appealing indeed.
Glass half full and all that though, maybe we'll find someone better to take the job in the long run.
Totally gutted about this. Although I had no idea how well he would do, OGS as manager was an idea that really got me excited for next season.
Nobody else we are likely to get (Martinez and Lambo included) really excites me. Lambo is just MON all over again and Martinez has talent, but has managed a team that have been terrible for 2/3 of each of the last 3 seasons.
OGS and our pursuit of showed insight and desire to change things.
I'll renew my ST this week, but I think the chances of me returning it before the start of the season stand at well over 60% as I don't see us getting a good manager and I don't see us buying anyone decent.
Like I say, not saying OGS would've been good, but the idea was good and I enjoyed being excited about the club for once.
Seriously gutted.
Argh. Left my PC an hour or so ago to watch Mad Men with the wife.
"Where've you been?" she said
"Just checking for new of the Villa manager" I replied
"What's the point, won't you just end up with someone **** anyway?"
I just smiled knowingly (I thought) and said "oh, we'll see"
And I come back to THIS?!
FFS! Now I'm gutted AND my wife was right! ;(
oh well that sucks to be honest :/ wanted OGS to be manager as he would change our style of play!
Lambert's a bit Meh even though we haven't approached him, dont want Martinez, so apart from the Portugese manager (Domingos Paciencia) who's aparently interested then who is it going to be?
The ITK's saw it as: we want Ole, Ole wants it. There is no way they could predict pulling out due to family reasons.
I'm seriously deflated. It was a 90%+ approval rating, and a risk, and he made all the right noises. With Lambert not making any noises at all about leaving, and Martinez being interviewed for the greatest job in world football (etc.etc.), it's going to leave us with someone who will be risker, less exciting and with less fans enthusiastic about it all. Me included.
What a load of shit. I fecking hate being a Villa fan sometimes.
A big Norwegian paper is running with this angle:
(Google translate)
Solskjaer said no to a (possibly) offer from Aston Villa and is committed to completing the current and next season with Molde.
• Only if he were to get an offer from Manchester United, Solskjaer has the opportunity to leave the club this year.
• Next season Solskjaer can talk to clubs from the Premier League, but if he leaves Molde, the new employer must to pay a financial compensation. It is only with the offer from Manchester United Solskjaer can leave Molde free of charge.
• Molde investors Røkke and Bjorn Rune Gjelsten add about £1m on the table to reinforce the Molde-squad with a class striker.
No idea how accurate this is.

Why all the mentions of Manchester United? You may as well include Real Madrid and Barcelona there.
Because it is very clear what is his career goal, and that is managing Manchester United.
And it's also very clear that Ole will not be getting an offer from Manchester United this season or next if he's still the manager at Molde. Seems a bizarre/unnecessary hypothetical agreement.

But if he got an offer to come back as assistant, with a view to taking over as manager after a coulpe of yearsr, or something like that?
Guardiola has proved that the idea that you have to have managed other big teams in order to be any good at a top club is simply not true. There are other ways.
Possibly, but unlikely. Would that be included in the contract though? Sounded more like it would have to be a managerial offer.
Guardiola proved that by having the most talented squad in the World with the best youth system in the World, and 3 of the best 4 players in the World, plus spending at least 50m+ every year on the best talent in the World, you don't really need an experienced manager.
I see what you mean, but it's a bit unfair on the man. Plenty of other managers have demonstrated that no matter how good your players, without the right manager they won't perform.
It's not like he'd be coming to a club with no great players and a shit youth system. The treansfer budget may not be the same, but that's hardly been the cornerstone of Barca's success, has it?
