Talking about Molde winning the CL is sheer madness, it's not at all comparable to Aberdeen back then. Molde will do well to even make it to the group stages, and it would be pretty sensational if they go through to the knockouts.

After last season, they sold their best player, central defender Vegard Forren (to Southampton), and their best striker, David Claude Angan (to a Chinese club), without really replacing them. Still, they should be higher with the squad they have.

yup.looks like the 1997/98 kit rather than the european treble season kit.
We went out against Dortmund in the 1996/97 season.
back then we only changed our home kit once every 2 seasons rather than every season now. so maybe it was the 96/97 and 97/98 kit.
It's definitely not the 99 shirt anyway, there was no black outline I don't think on the lettering I don't think. We changed our European shirt in 97 and kept it through until the end of 99.

Aye, looks like the '97 kit. They knocked us out of the semis. Shouldn't have. We should've won the bloody thing that year, in what turned out to be The King's final season. Disappointing CL run all in all - we lost the home record in Europe earlier that season too.
