The main problem with our club is not who is the manager or signings, but the system that pick managers and signings. What kind of football board want us to play? After that scouts know what kind of players they should look for and what kind of managers should be considered. And we all know that. We had 4 different managers, different football styles, they asked for different players, ending all of that with interim manager that like 5th playing style completely different to 4 prior to him and soon we will have 6th one with once again new playing style. So, no point in talking about his legacy as club will ruin any legacy of any coach as soon as they sack him.
From my point of view, Ole gave great opportunity to Greenwood (did not end well), also improved a lot of players, make them trust him and give their best for the shirt. As we can see at the moment and with Jose, it was not easy to do that. We had two good seasons with him, some great games. He made a lot of mistakes, but I think he was the only manager we will ever have who put club above his career. He was quiet and did not want to speak against club to save his career as he loves club too much. Not good for him, at the end won't get result for the club as well as obviously it ended bad.
His future? I doubt he will stay in the management honestly. Maybe Molde, getting back home, but I doubt he will take any club in charge after making his dream come true and failing at the end (although I don't think he failed, but that is obviously public opinion)

Seriously; If you count time on the bench, results, money spend, wasted money, team condition after he left....is he the worst manager appointment ever in PL?
There’s no point in commenting on my post if you didn’t READ it. Read it again, wait 10 seconds to ensure you have fully understood it, then reply if you have something intelligent to say. I never said I blame Ralf 100% for where we are as a club. The club, Ole, the players AND Ralf all share some level of blame. His job is to get the best out of this squad for the remainder of the season. He hasn’t done that, tactically, motivationally, training, squad management….Yeah, let's just completely ignore the fact that all this was inherited from Ole and just blame Ralf.
Ole will go down in history as one of the worst manager in our history because of how much transfer fee he squandered with terrible signings and left so many of our young players stagnant and worse off than before he took over.

Dismantling by Liverpool 2-4 last season or this season? To me, that 4-2 loss at Old Trafford, though we pretty much secured 2nd place by then, showed that we're not getting anywhere under Ole.
In the state club is atm I think we can get back to winning trophies only if we get lucky with next manager, like Liverpool did with Klopp. No way our board would ever do business like City do and lure someone like Pep with their whole club organisation and structure.

The worst it's been and his legacy will set the club back at the least 3 years, in reality it could be much worse. He's tarnished his legacy whether or not he was a good player for us.
I started to think that Ole's "success" (Top 4 in 2 seasons and all those Finals) were down to the genius of McKenna and/or Carrick (who showed excellent tactical nouse on those 3 games in charge).
His subs, the way he treated players, and his buyings didn't reflect he's the "genius" behind the scene.

Ole buys players to compensate for his weakness as a coach. That's not a recipe for sustained success.
It's a "tactic" that only works if you are PSG in France.

Angers me that he hid behind this cultural reboot rubbish and his media mates also backed this idea but the real reality is he has set us back by at least another 5 years, the development of so many players has gone backwards under him, he has created the worse mentality and toxic behaviour towards the club from players post fergie and has left our squad in a worse state with over expensive flops that will be tough to shift, clinging onto average footballers and overseeing a great deal of players stock plummeting or being able to walk for free.

The word "standards" is key here actually. Ole himself - not a crime being not good enough. But what always angered me is the willingness of a large part of our fanbase, media and owners to lower the standards SPECIFICALLY for Ole in the name of "atmosphere", "forward-looking-transfer policy", "bringing back the good feeling", "squad building" (as it becomes even more clear now how lame those excuses are some are even starting to argue that those were not Ole's signings and apparently he has done well given that the board signed all those crap players lol).
Jose has done better than Ole results-wise. He has left a squad with problems that were much more "fixable" and the pandering/overpayment/spoiled/unhappy players were not such a big issue as after Ole. Yet nobody says things like "Jose made a good account of himself" and everyone laughs at him naming 2nd place with United his biggest achievement - and absolutely correctly so, he was a failure! Yet Ole gets praised for doing worse. Judging managers so differently just because one of them is a former United man is damaging for the club. I really hope we are over this now.

We’re up against the very best teams in the world at the top of the premier league and the champions league is always incredibly tough. The players simply haven’t responded to Rangnick from day one which means that next season we need a different type of manager, one that can reshape the club. And that manager is Ten Hag, none of the other candidates have what we need.

In American English, we would say "overstated" in this context. For example:
"The damage Ole has done cannot be overstated." That sentence would make perfect sense in the US, but perhaps not in the UK.
The following sentence "The damage Ole has done cannot be understated." would make no sense to the ear of an American.
I wonder how we'd have done if we did the smart thing and sacked him after the Villarreal final loss, which should've been the absolute latest time to do it considering the terrible football.
He's destroyed this football club, I knew the damage he did and was doing at the time but it's even worse then I possibly could have imagined.
