Some British soldiers threaten leader of the opposition

I was being silly, but my point still stands
MPs in general, yes. But this is what i find the problem is. It seems that every person that takes even a slight interest in politics take the lazy 'They are all the same' bullshit argument. It allows the decent and the honourable politicians to get lost in the shuffle so to speak. The media coverage of corbyn in this country is absolutely disgusting, yet instead of voters bothering to take 30 seconds to look in to manifestos, look in to voting records etc, what they do is read the Sun or the mail or the Torygraph and discover that Corbyn is an IRA sympathiser or he is an anti-semite or he is a power hungry Marxist. People think that members of the British Army putting a picture of the leader of the opposition up as target practice is an OK thing to do, it really isn't and i would feel the same if it was the leader of the Tory party.

Truthfully it makes no odds whatsoever anyway, there is no such thing as an electable Labour party simply because the papers won't allow it and people in this country are too stupid (and i won't beat about the bush anymore) to bother looking into anything beyond a red top. You know why Blair (the horrible war criminal cnut) won in '97 right? it was because as soon as he became leader he went straight to the papers and bribed them accordingly....or paid them if you prefer.

anyway, i'm sorry you got the rant. feck this country.

No worries mate. The first thing before all others that would disqualify anyone from being an MP if it was up to me would be the fact they want to be one.
Second, they must have actually achieved something, run a business, been successful in a career etc, not just been spat out by Oxbridge Into a cushy research role and thesn standing for a safe party seat.
They should all face penalties for not at least attempting to fulfil the manifesto they stood on.
There should be a process for not allowing them to vote on issues where there is a clear and obvious conflict of interest
They should not be allowed to earn from other sources whilst being a sitting mp.

I don't like Corbyn, I don't like may either and I don't condone the army doing what they did not would I if it had been the Maybot. But when the tossers on both sides can't put the country first when it's facing a huge crisis because their poxy parties and their bank balances are more important to them I can understand why people do these things.

Point conceded, but he is every single bit as self serving, and undeserving of his position as the rest of them
The people who are criticising him most are the moat-expense claiming, wife mansion-fixing, landlord-protecting, benefit-cutting Tories. Please stop to consider why that might be. You might like him a lot more than you think if you make up your own mind on him and his politics.

I won't like him, he is every bit as much a problem as the others. I prefer him to May and the Tories, but that is like saying I'd rather have the shits than the flu. He is a part of the political classes who have never had a job outside of politics or trade union type roles. I am sick to the back teeth of people with no experience of how most of us live trying to make decisions for us. It's about time for a new party, made up of a genuine cross section of society, rich, poor and everything in-between based on common sense and a sense of decency towards our fellow man, not based on lust for power money and fame like the pack that sits in the house now from both major parties.

Effectively your opposition to Corbyn is here that before he went into politics, he worked to improve workers rights rather than running a successful business? Jesus sparky most of the time you comment like a normal working man, but this is just textbook corporate shill territory here. Even the CBI would be a bit more tactful making the same point.

Saying this is just a harmless prank is gravely underestimating the effects of groupthink and the impressionability of young men in the military. Only1 in a 1000 in the army needs to take it too literally and take it upon himself to really "do something about it".

Saying they're training to kill someone is obviously taking it too far, but demonization is quite real. Also not something solely employed by the right either. In The Netherlands Pim Fortuyn was constantly painted as the new Hitler and extremely dangerous by his rivals. Then some far left looney shot him dead to do something about it. Now I had no love for Pim Fortuyn, but I do think that's partly on demonizing him constantly.

Polarization will be our downfall really.

I just have a real issue with this ruling class mentality we seem to have as a nation mate, he has done nothing, never turned a penny, or provided a product or service yet you want him to have the power to make decisions that could shag our economy for decades, again don't get me wrong, I'm no Tory any more, they are even worse, it should be a pre requisite for election that you have some real world experience at something....ANYTHING other than being a political animal.

How is Corbyn an accessory to the ruling class?

I take your point about real world professionals making up our executive, I for one would certainly like to see more doctors, scientists and teachers in the cabinet instead of the usual silver spooned Etonian PPE graduates. But Corbyn has 30 years experience as a parliamentarian, does that not constitute him as being qualified?

That is horrible but the guy doing it isn't a member of our armed forces. Any possible action against him should be taken by the people who employ him. I know that where I work if my actions outside work reflect badly on my company then I would expect to be punished for it.

O would feel no different if it was JRM, BJ or Trump. It doesn't matter if I don't like the person in question members of the military being pictured shooting them is not acceptable and should end in dismissal.

I've posted a video about the van belonging to Cesar Sayoc. He took images of prominent Democrats being pictured in cross hairs and plastered them all over his van. He went on to send out a large number of mail bombs. Now let's think what right wing crazy might make of our army shooting a poster of a labour politician let alone the leader of the opposition.

Not to my way of thinking mate, he would have power over things he has never experienced, unfortunately that goes for almost all of them from all parties and I don't see any viable alternatives.

How long does something like this take to investigate? Or are they just going to give them medals for services to the Tories now that the news cycle has moved on

Maybe they can just wait ten years and give them immunity for it.
