Spurs vs. Manchester United

---------------VDS------------
-----Brown -- Rio -- Vidic -- Evra--
Ronaldo--Scholes--Hargreaves--Giggs
----------Tevez---Rooney---------

Bench: PIG, O'Shea, Anderson, Nani, Carrick

Lets not mess about, that's what we should field providing there are no injuries. Tricky away fixture, so Hargreaves over Carrick.

Didn't see the match against Spurs last weekend.

How did Carrick fare against his former club?

Hargreaves with Scholes or Hargreaves with Anderson would be good against them.

Fletcher or Carrick in 2nd half... depends on result.

I dont know, but atm I just wouldnt play HARGO over Carrick. Carrick has been immense in the last game and together with an offensive central mid he is worldclass, whereas Hargreaves hasn't been more than average in the last games.
And Carrick certainly is also capable of tackling, so I wouldnt mind in this game.
Anderson to come on at some point.

... Are you serious? Hargreaves has been a focal point in our midfield as of late. Just because he isn't banging in goals like Ronaldo, doesn't meant that he's average.

Well I know what he is capable of. And compared to what he is able to do, he was average, I'm sorry to say that. Certainly because he still needs time to settle in. But I would still prefer Carrick in tomorrow's game

Its a cliche I know, but this Feb is going to be pivitol in our seasons outcome.

This is a potential dropping of points. Gotta pick the strongest side, and beat the feck out of them.

1-3 to us.

Really tough one this.
0-3 Utd, :).
I feel i contradicted myself there.

Some photos for anyone who likes to play "guess the team"

United waiting for the train.

Sunny Macclesfield today

I'm particularly fond of this one - SAF taking the kids out for the day.

This will probably be our bench tomorrow..

Kuszczak, O'Shea, Anderson, Carrick, Nani... Fletcher and Park left out. Saha, Gary and Silvestre injured.

Omg, what a fantastic squad.

he's forged his age...he is actually 15 so hopefully he will play 20 years for us

and spot the odd one out in that pic.

Rooney and Ronaldo obviously still hate each other - look at this; Ronaldo is offering Rooney a chocolate bar, but Rooney won't even look at it!

yeah, like a chocolate bar can make Rooney forgive what his mate had done to him at the World Cup

:wenger:

It's a superstitious lot we have here. I wouldn't dream of creating a match thread.

That's so true. What's funny though is that if you say, "We're gonna win the champion's league this year," you've jinxed it and we won't win. But if you say, "We're gonna beat Tottenham tommorow," that doesn't do anything. I guess superstition isn't supposed to make sense.

subs: koosh , Oshea , carrick , tevez , giggs

can see it happen

Nah.

Tevez and Rooney up front. Ronnie and Giggs on wings. Scholes and somebody in midfield if Scholesy has recovered ok. Back 5 picks itself if fit.

It'll be tight. Maybe one nil. Ronaldo (who else). Now that Vidic is playing Robbie Keane won't be able to ghost in for an open goal.

I won't be surprised if Scholes in on the bench. I'd rather him play though.

I reckon Hargreaves is a certainty due to Spurs' attacking talent.
