De Gea
Rafael - Smalling - Evans - Evra
Cleverley - Fletcher
Mata - Rooney - Januzaj
RvP
It would be nice to actually see our best front 4 together with 2 real midfielders.

Yes please. Maybe Young instead of Adnan.

N'zonzi out so we probably won't get bullied in midfield.

No fecking about

De Gea
Rafael
Smalling
Evans
Evra
Januzaj
Fletcher
Jones
Mata
Rooney
van Persie

Play the best team, just as Liverpool and city do, don't worry about balance or any of that shit, we're fecking better than Stoke the Joke, we don't need to worry about what they'll do (they have Glenn Whelan in midfield), they should be worrying about what we can do and the only way we can do that is by playing our best attacking players. No defensive wingers or tall fullbacks, just fecking pick this team Moyes and smash these stupid cnuts.

I would love to see:

DDG
RAFAEL SMALLING JONES EVRA
FELLAINI FLETCHER
MATA ROONEY JANUZAJ
RVP

----------------De Gea----------
Rafael--Smalling--Evans--Evra
-------Fletcher----Cleverley----
--Januzaj---Rooney-----Mata--
--------------RVP---------------

Unleash the fear! Chances are Young might play with only one of Rooney and Van Persie starting.
This with Jones for Cleverley, not confident in him against a team like Stoke.

de Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Jones Fletcher
Mata Rooney Januzaj
van Persie

Please don't feck it up.

Rowem has the right idea. It would not be cowardice but bravery if Moyes insists on playing with two wingers when he has such an arsenal of centrally oriented creative hubs at his disposal.

I'm seriously pissed about Carrick's injury. We've brought in Mata, got RVP and Rooney back fit and we're without our best midfielder. Will we get to field our strongest 11 at all this season?

Anyway, we still should have enough for these. Love to see Mata, Rooney and van Persie all on the pitch together.

If Carrick is fit.

------------- DDG ------------
Rafael - Smalling - Evans - Evra
------ Carrick - Fletcher ------
-- Januzaj - Mata - Kagawa ---
----------- Rooney -----------

RVP and Young to be the impact subs for the two worst players in that front 4.

Hope we start the game like this:

de Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Jones Fletcher
Rooney
Mata Januzaj
van Persie

Play well, go 2 or 3-0 up, and finish the game like this:

de Gea
Rafael Smalling Evans Evra
Jones Fletcher
Valencia Fellaini Young
Rooney

feckin' Fellaini.
A bit mad how a bunch of us are hoping he's fit, what a sad day for us and our midfield when people view that target man as our midfield savior
For what its worth, and I'm probably one of the people who are most against him on here, I'm looking forward to having him back, if only to have options and to actually put people in there who are recognized as midfielders and aren't 40 year olds or center backs in there.

Release the hounds.

Mata, RvP, Rooney all have to start. Start Young because of his goal, but take him off at 60' and bring in Januzaj. If we want 4th we need to win games like this. Chelsea lost here so it's a difficult place. Pool won here. We need to win.

We could definitely do with him back, such is the weakness of our midfield. But I can't get on board with playing him attacking midfield when we've Rooney, Mata, Januzaj and Kagawa.

young was brilliant last match and might deserve to be in the first eleven. januzaj could also start after playing just 7 or 8 minutes against cardiff.

trio of persie-rooney-mata have to start. i would prefer to see januzaj coming off the bench around the hour mark and we'll see how this quartert can perform together.

jones and fletcher should do a lot of running. with vidic still unavailable the back 4 of rafael, smalling, evans and evra pick for itself.

Mostly agree, but I wouldn't start Januzaj. They'll try and get him booked for diving.

Van Persie
Hopefully a tough 1-0 away win.

This boy needs a spell out of the limelight for now. Hopefully results will afford him that.

Oh that's nice, he's been slogging his guts out playing with a shower of shite for the last month or so, now we have a bit of quality back leave him out. He deserves to play with our best players around him for a change.

Yeah, for sure Colin and he'll get that chance but with a young player taking him in and out of the limelight and letting his body fully recover for extended periods is the tried and tested formula for success. He's absolutely good enough to play every week, I just would do everything possible to avoid over use and over pressurising him.

Is this game on TV next Saturday?

3pm kick-off, so it won't be.

I'm agreeing with everyone who says play Rafael at RB over Smalling. If you want height for the setpieces, then play Jones or Fellaini in midfield with Fletcher.

Yep, would like to see Fellaini there, that is where I assume he is going to fit in. Maybe Kagawa for Januzaj but either way Im happy.

In article I posted earlier - Jones says that barring Fellaini and Carrick, we'll be at full strength. Obviously even he has forgotten about Nani (and Vida still suspended).

Why are people including Fellaini, if Moyes said he's not gonna be available?

------------De Gea
Rafael-Smalling-Evans-Evra

------------RvP-------------

He being Jones. Not sure why he is giving out injury updates but if what he says is true then hope it's Fletcher as holding and Cleverley to help get the ball forward.
Because Jones is the only one who can give out injury updates, plain and simple.

And also give out injuries.

Yeah I thought Fellaini would be fit for this as well seeing as he was said to be training along side Rooney / RVP the other day. Coupled with the fact his injury was with his wrist, fitness wise would have thought he'd at least have been able to keep up with the stamina / running side and just needed time to getting playing with a ball again.

Edit: Well looking at the Getty site and searching for Manchester United pics in the last 24 hours shows the lads training and Fellaini is among the rest - so who knows if it's Phil just trying to play Fergie mind games on Sparky.

Edit again: looks like he still has the cast on.

I'd take that, replacing Cleverley with Fellaini.

But, I presume it will probably look more like this:

DDG
Smalling Jones Evans Evra
Fletcher Cleverley
Mata Rooney Young
van Persie

Phil Jones made a comment todat about how we have a full squad available with the exception of Carrick and Fellaini so not sure what the actual status is on that one.

I see, haven't seen that..
I just think that at some point Fletcher-Fellaini should be given a chance together because with a decent trio in front of them(atleast two of Rooney/Mata/Januzaj + Young/Valencia) it can form a very decent central midfield.
