Can't wait to see strikers play for United again :D

And hopefully Obertan gets a chance. He looked good today

I'd like to see:

VDS
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Carrick
Fletcher Scholes
-- Nani ----------- Obertan
Berbatov

Set peices XI

---------Van der Sar-----------
-Brown-Smalling-Vidic-J.Evans--
Bébé-Ferdinand-O'Shea-Obertan
----Berbatov---Macheda-------

wait, I forgot an actual setpiece taker!

Worried about this one especially the way we've been defending crosses and set pieces recently.

If we win this, its not gonna be pretty. We'll do well to keep a clean sheet which means we'll more than likely have to score a couple. To score a couple we'll more than likely have to play two up top so i'd go with Berbarito in this one. O'Shea will play for sure, which is harsh on Rafael but perhaps understandable with Stokes aerial prowess. Wasn't at all impressed by Fletcher tonight, and seeings Stoke don't have much in the middle of the park i'd go with Carrick and Anderson. Left wings a tough one. I really hope we go with Obertan, but i suspect we'll go with Park. Same team as Soilius then

O'Shea comes back in against Stoke, obviously.

van der Sar
O'Shea Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Nani Fletcher Scholes Park
Berbatov Hernandez
--
Kuszczak; Rafael, Smalling; Anderson, Carrick, Obertan; Macheda

Anderson or Carrick might start in a three-man midfield, with Hernandez dropping to the bench. But that team above can play 433 with Park in the middle anyway. Obertan makes the bench after his good five minutes last night...

I actually think we'll finally win away in the league.

Unless you go Brown rightback, O'Shea leftback and cover both ends?

I'd actually do this. 4-4-2 with Carrick protecting the tall cow defence. Obertan, Nani, Berbatov and Hernandez to create and score.

Stoke 0 United 1

Rooney 95th minute

Rooney makes a dramatic sub appearance - under the name of a.n. other in the programme - wears a balaclava on the bench all through the game - United are getting totally pinned back - he is called to the touchline by the boss whips the balaclava off to the shock of the whole crowd and goes onto the pitch with the crowd in utter shock & silence (quite something for Stoke). As we go into the final minute of added time the boy wonder gets the ball on the edge of Uniteds box beats 8 men including two of them twice, looks up and from 35 yards out smashes the ball into the top left hand corner - crowd erupts - the sun comes out - the bird are in full song and all is well in Waynes world again - Stoke moan that the goal was score after 95mins and 15 seconds - whats new!

Monday morning after the game Wayne signs a 2 billion pound contract to play for............?

I hope Rafael starts but feel certain O'Shea will due to Stoke's arial threat. I hope Park doesn't start.

He beats 8 men and is still 35 yards out? how big is the bloody pitch at Stoke? :p

Hope they just play Gudjohnsen up front, aint good in the air, but still intends to score goals vs united, well i´d prefere to see rafael instead of oshea, Pennant has been in form for them...

we will need to push them high up the pitch... must do that to prevent thosae set pieces!

Stoke are the masters of pulling a late one, especially the 2nd half... K.Jones has been great for them... Not to mention Etherington who seems to have found his way back into football ( Was addicted to gambling at 1 point ) and Pennant seems to have been decent for them...

Their MF still isn't that solid though from what I've seen but they have that knack in them when the opposition loses concentration and they will strike at that moment...

For me, its going to be tough and Vidic has gotto mark K.Jones as tightly as possible... Evra/Rafael can deal with their wingers and mostly the game will be decided by Man Utd MF's as we will have not less than 55% of the possession imo.

We need Anderson/Carrick to quickly find a bit of form... Fletcher has lost that spark in the opener of the season and I'm not surprised that Scholes is tightly marked with the performances at the start of the season...

If we play Hernandez, I'm sure Hernandez will give stoke a horrid time with his runs... I bloody love them and it's been missing from our game in the recent year...
