Stoke City vs. Manchester United

You're just criticising for the sake of it. We've been perfectly fine today. We've totally controlled the game, allowed Stoke next to nothing and have played some decent stuff at times... all this while the wind is howling around like a bastard (don't under-estimate how tricky it is to play in conditions like this... as Neville said earlier, heavy wind is one of the worst conditions to play football in)

You're acting spoilt... as if we should just go into all games and win by 5 or 6 goals whilst playing tika-taka all the way. Football doesn't work like that... and sometimes, especially coming off the back of a bad loss to your biggest rival... you just need to not give anything away at the back, and win a game comfortably. We've done exactly that today. Cheer the feck up.

no you just seemingly dont care for what he actually thinks. Your views are just reverberating how you feel about United fans who act in a similar fashion to Siorac. Only reason we've been perfectly fine is the fact we're 2-0 up. Doesn't mask the areas we could improve. For today, we've done enough.

One should never let the scoreline cloud what's actually happened. For a certain spell, we played long ball IN windy conditions! What sense does that make? Anywho, we are where we are. I just suggest be more understanding instead of jumping to conclusions. Siorac doesn't seem the type who wants to win by 5 or 6. He just wants some good football. Something which hasn't been easy to come by this season.

You do the same thing after pretty much every poor United performance: you call everyone spoilt, you explain that "at this stage" (after a bad loss to a rival/during a difficult run of fixtures/in October/when the moon is in the third quarter) picking up the points is all that matters.

It was a shite performance against a shite team. Dire first half, sloppy passing, no creativity, not a single real chance created. We've improved since the second goal because, well, Stoke totally gave up. It's a deserved win but a poor and boring performance. Just like against Reading, Sunderland, Everton, Southampton etc.

Good post.

Did I imagine it or did Stoke's announcer just say Charlie Adam was MOTM?

If so,

Stoke are so shite.

You have to credit our players partly here.

Stoke have had absolutely everything in their favour, at home, poor weather conditions for football, and a ref who seems to think yellow cards are optional, and they have barely had a sniff at a chance all game.

They arent good, we have made them look particularly bad though.

Shotton must've escaped from Clown College.

We haven't really actually played well since Real though have we..

FT. Win, no injuries, RVP scoring, 3pts closer. Excellent.

Good win, very important that Van Persie scored but the points are even more important, onto the next game.

A slighlty better second half, thank god. Very solid defensively which is good to see, but our final third play is shit at best, with the occasional flashes of not-so-shit.
