Stoke City vs. Manchester United

2nd half is going to be a long ball fest!

Stoke with the wind to their backs. It's ideal for their game. We'll be playing against the wind, drawn to smacking long balls back up against it. Calling it now...

Decent half. Stoke are thugs, the referee is a tit.

Kagawa's done well so far, even out on the wing. He's pressing hard and doing alot of good defending too. Hope we can get a few more in the second half. A convincing win would be nice after the past few weeks.

Ironic Username. Tony Pulis ?

I know we have a game at West Ham in 76 hours, but wouldn't it be better to go for a 2-0 goal instead of taking it easy after the 4th min?

The referee has been a joke so far.Letting the Stoke twats go free of punishment for dangerous tackles, what's to stop them from doing the same in the second half.
Terrible by the ref and his assistant who surely saw what Shawcross was doing on Hernandez

Decent first half. We controlled things for the most part, though not really creating to many clear chances. Need to cut out some of the long balls, but I guess it is difficult due to the style stoke play as it does stretch the play and leave the defence with out to many options close to them to pass to.

You can physically see some of the United players just don't want to get into one on ones with Stoke players because of their thuggery.. Lol.

This is a football match. Perhaps they should take up ballet dancing instead then. A lot of the players from the 70s and 80s would be laughing at the way we are shying away from getting into one on ones.

Feel for RVP. He has been non-existent in the 1st half. Nothing happening for either him or Hernandez. We definitely need a two goal cushion to feel comfortable.

Stoke sucking the enjoyment out of the game as expected, I'm just glad we have scored.

Fox Soccer is unbearable. "More potent from the corner kick spot than the penalty kick spot this season". I don't know what that means. We've had more corners than penalties?

again, this is purely in regards to how the team is passing when certain players are on the pitch, it hasn't got anything to do with his fitness level.
I'm not one of his biggest fans, although I like him I think he had more than his fair share of chances and both parties should move on, however I can clearly see United's passing is obviously better with him on the field.

With respect to Ando's fitness, I couldn't disagree with you more. It's all on him and not on his teammates.

Where we might be able to agree is that you can see Ando has the tools to be successful at a very high level. Whether it's his fitness or his heart, he just can't put it together even for 90 minutes, let alone a nice run of 4-5 games.

Kagawa is too artistic to be wasted on this game, take him off. Something about our attacking play just feels off.. and it's not even a midfield issue, the forward players and Valencia are just not lively at the moment.

I don't ever remember us having a good game after scoring early. It's the same every time. Score early and then just play slowly and without purpose.

Same style of play to most of the season, winning as usual but pretty poor performance so far. We have technical players who are able to keep the ball (Rooney, Kagawa, Carrick, RvP) and yet we still find ourselves more often than not smashing 50 yards balls upfront from defence. Horrible style of play that seems to be the norm these days.

What a God awful game. They're dog shit, but truth be told, we're no oil painting. There's no spark in our attacking play.

Kagawa and Rooney have done well it has to be said. Encouraging. Overall this half has been dull. Played well for 20 mins then sat back too deep.

The way Stoke play is just so pathetic at times. Two to three ground passes and then a hoof up field. The same thing happens over and over again.
