I don't think it's any secret that Higuain wants to join and Juventus want him.
Even the Napoli president confirmed negotiations took place. He just isn't interested in selling him for below his buyout clause,especially to Juve.
I'm convinced our name is being used here. Selling club gets more money out of City, City get to say they beat us to him. So far every top club has been linked to this guy and I suspect it was mostly to drum up interest.

They wont get a top class striker. If he spends £40m+ on Mahrez there is no way he is spending big again to buy a very good striker.
Mahrez and Kante are smart savvy footballers, they know it is very unlikely to get better at Leicester City. If Leicester do badly, it will be because they left.. it is a win-win situation for them. Where as Vardy will get the stick of the Leicester F.C supporters if he doesn't score the same amount of goals as last season and Leicester (inevitable) do worse. Football fans have short memories, and footballers have short careers.. you need to strike why the water is warm don't miss your window.
Vardy has dropped a clanger, but I suppose that will be confirmed at the end of the season. He isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.. even Leicester fans laugh about him. They "put up" with him when he's scoring goals, but there is no love for Jamie Vardy.
