Sunderland vs. Manchester United

Kagawa and Carrick especially have stolen the show. Class is radiating from them like plutonium.

Anderson is having an OK game. Moving around nicely and nice passes between him, Carrick and Kagawa.
RVP has been effective - he'll score next half.
Buttner has impressed me at times.
Smalling's passing has been good so far - and doesn't get beaten in the air at all, as per.
Vidic being Vidic.
De Gea is a bit anonymous - all he's done is kicking.
Young has had ups and downs.
Valencia hasn't done much.

We've comfortably controlled the game so far. I've not watched Sunderland this season but judging them on that first half I don't really see how they could survive.

young rubbish as per. Mind you valencia hasn't been much better. Carrick and Kagawa quality, van persie looks good too.

Comfortable performance so far. Carrick has been boss and Kagawa pretty good too.

Young has been poor, while Ando needs to do more and not be a lazy arse. Valencia has been ok but still needs to do more.

Both fair comments, but we know how poor he has been this season... we shouldn't expect his form to just do a 180, over night.

A few solid, unspectacular shifts may help him regain some confidence, and possibly... hopefully get the Valencia we all know back.

We certainly shouldn't. Personally I just think this season is a total write off for him at this stage anyway, and am hoping he'll be back to his best next season. He's lucky because today, like many other days, he's our only fit right winger despite not warranting his place there at all.

What frustrates me is how damn good Kagawa and Carrick have been only for our wide men to continuously destroy their hard work!

Okay, is there anyone out there who still can't see Carrick's quality?
He should be in every PL team's 1st XI hands down, whether you're a "hater" or a "homer", he is just superb.

Kagawa has looked really great, good to see him starting to link up better each game with other players, should have a much bigger impact on our next season.

Van Persie simply put wants to score, score, and....score, and I like it.

Young started out good but as the half progressed got worse, Valencia on the other hand while being "nothing special" has been much improved given his recent form.

I hope Rafael's ok and I just want to say it again, granted Sunderland aren't the best example but how much better has our defense been with Vidič? (would someone bother matching our goal record before and after Vidič came back in the side this season? I know it's much better, but to see the numbers on screen would really set it in :D)

We haven't really been playing through the right so Valencia hasn't had much of a chance to do anything. I think the few times he's had a the ball there's been Sunderland players all round him bar that moment near the end where he won a corner.

Looks like they are desperate for Sunderland to do something in the studio, even Gary Neville.

Should always be aware of the trio behind Graham though with Mclean-Sessegnon-Johnson.

Young hasn't been great, atleast he is getting involved.

Valencia, thankfully hasn't been shit for once this season - that's largely because he's not really in the game.

Nani to come on at some point and do in 5 minutes what they did collectively in 100 minutes

Hopefully we don't need any players to come on to be honest. So they are fully rested for Mondays game.

Kagawa

Loved some of the passes early on where he just put it into open space. Plays so intelligently. He'll be a star.

Based on? He was very good at Wigan and gradually got better and better, he was always a menace against Evra when we played them. His first season here was very good. He was injured for nearly all of his 2nd season, but came back looking strong for the run-in. 3rd season he was outstanding. This season he was fine until December and has looked off the boil since. 3-4 months of poor form surrounded by 5 or 6 years of good form...

He hasn't really done anything wrong in this game either.

I'm not complaining about val...I never do. He is what he is and I don't expect more. When we get more it's great.

Man, if only we got behind the players, instead of just slagging them off over menial things. It's probably no wonder Old Trafford is so quiet these days. Everyone's just having a grumble.

Shit, Young misjudged a pass. Better get him sold.

Blimey.

Valencia looks like he is starting to get a bit of confidence back. Looked to take on his man fairly often today.

Even if that cross had made it into the box from Valencia what was anybody going to do with that? 40 yard in the air punt.

What the heck happened to Valencia? Whilst not ridiculously woeful in this game, he is still unrecognisable from the Valencia of last season :(
