Sunderland Vs Manchester United

Snake bitten. Nothing is going right. We just need a tap in and hopefully the confidence kicks in.

RVP ok maybe but there is still feck all penetration from him and Wayne. Altidore has out performed both our strikers, that guy is making Sunderland tick with his hold up play, whereas our front men are not making it stick enough to relieve the pressure.

Don't really agree with that. Altidore has kept Jones out of challenges but he only come away with the ball one out of five times. Not been that good. Sunderland have countered and it's Giaccherini and Johnson that managed to create their dangerous chances with little involvement from Altidore. He's been no better than Rooney.

Rooney and RvP have done very little in attack, agree with that. The ball has just been mindlessly crossed into the box. Surely something that the players have been told but it's far from working and needs to be stopped. It has only pumped up their defenders. It's like they're in a fighting game and each time they clear the ball they fill up their super meter. Watch one of them clear it off the line in the 2nd half.

I fear for Moyes, if we lose.

I mean forgot the title. We'd be worrying about champions league place.

That's fecking optimistic. At this rate we'll be lucky not to get relegated.

I can't believe we are in a position that if it stays like this, there might actually be serious questions about DM's future.

The press will have a field day, and I won't be able to blame them for that.
It will be questions, but nothing will happen as long as SAF is behind Moyes.

Huge second half coming up Nani and Adnan doing ok but our crossing Jesus absolutely horrendous and I wish we'd start using short corners more we're just wasting the long awful hopeful punts.

All this bollocks about not putting up with Moyes. Take a look at yourselves lads. He's in the job next year if we finish in the top half, which we undoubtedly fecking will. Get used to it, stop complaining and back the manager to the hilt.

Carrick and Cleverley have been wank. Kagawa for Cleverley is what I'd do here. Get Giggsy on if we're still struggling.

Time for some positivity. 45 mins to turn around a 1 goal deficit. Our club are well known for that kind of challenge.

I'd like to see them fired up and throwing everything they've got at it. We have the talent, just the desire, imagination and workrate needs to be spot on.

Some senior players need to start being openly subbed/dropped in response to performances like some of these guys today. Would never accuse them of not trying but it's been sluggish and they haven't concentrated well at all in that half, we need to find that sense of accountability among the players again. That fear of the threat of competition is not there, they don't even look like they want to be playing during this rut. We don't have an individual who looks like dragging us out of this.

Like Rio, Young, Kagawa and Fellaini?

There was a moment in the first half that summed it all up for me, Evra picked the ball up just outside his own half and in picture you could see Januzaj, Rooney and RVP all turn their backs and run towards goal, not one came towards the ball in an effort to keep the ball and move it around. It's been appalling. Sunderland centre backs can't believe their luck, we're playing to their strengths. HOOF.

I don't think we need big signings for that, Moyes coming in should have been enough to motivate them. Players need to fix up quick, they're letting Moyes down.

I agree to extent, but these players might not have the respect for the manager they should have. Maybe they are not bothering to listen.

Relax, not serious just having a laugh.

Welbeck on and play 4-2-4 with Carrick/Clev in CM, Januazaj/Nani wingers, Welbeck/RvP strikers.

What are we playing at? Why the feck are we slinging in hopeless crosses? What's the point?

I agree, the central threat has been non-existent today

Sunderland are packing the midfield and have been closing down like crazy which has no doubt made it harder, but overall its unacceptable. Rooney is playing too far forward for me, he needs to drop back a little bit more and give an option in the middle - the movement in general has been appalling. Carrick hasn't had a good game but so many times he had the ball and was looking up for a pass but there was feck all on.

Januzaj has been showing in the middle more than Rooney

Nani should have scored with that volley, but they could have had two more. Going forward we haven't been bad, but the defence needs to wake up or we could easily be further in trouble. Carrick's played some overly ambitious passes and cost us possession at times. Januzaj has been our best player.
Decent chance but it's a very difficult ball to hit well. Coming that high, from that high out with a defender that might possibly get to it. Can't blame him really for missing it. Januzaj's shot outside the box, which he created for himself with that feint, was a better chance imo.

Robin needs to snap out of this spell he's in at the moment. Not played well since the first game of the season and we really need some of this build up play to get converted.

IMO it is not his fault he has had such amazingly, amazingly shit service.

Nani - Kagawa - Janujaz

-------RvP or Pea ----

DO IT MOYES IF YOU WANT TO WIN.

Big 45 minutes now

We need to for one start increasing the tempo and start pressing high. I have absolutely no idea why we stopped doing that after the Liverpool game in the league

Has he feck.
It's marginal between the two, but both have been pathetic on the ball. There might be some element of isolation but we're talking about the two best forwards in the league over the last 4 years. I expect extraordinary stuff from the pair but neither look capable of attacking a cross, let alone whacking in a special.

There will be. 4 defeats from the first 7 games would be beyond belief.

That has been our problem, no one give anyone an option for a pass. Then they hoof it long as only option left. Looks like nobody wants to take responsibility.

We had plenty of first halves like that last season, but SAF knew what to do in the second half to fix it.

Does Moyes? Let's see...

That aint going to happen. The Glazers are ruthless bastards. The moment they think United mightnt make the top 4 Moyes will be gone.

There are few positives to be taken from that half, but I will say this - it is lovely to have wingers on the pitch who are adaptable, flexible, non-static and who can actually beat a man. That was quite refreshing at least.

He's been a presence though, alot of those balls that he's gone for, might not have been won by himself but they're falling to Sunderland players because United players are struggling to clear their lines because of him putting pressure aerially.

Rooney and RVP are not playing at 100%, there is an element of desire and sharpness missing, thing is I like the team Moyes has put out... just pray to god the boys pull it out the bag, because Moyes is seriously going to get it if the fans feel that the players are not playing for him, also it is clear the crossing shite is down to his tactics and it makes no sense why when you've got players like Januzaj, RVP and Wayne, you'd want to cross the ball... they're all comfortable getting it to feet and threading through balls.

Three poor individual pieces of defending from Evra, then Jones and then Vidic. I don't care what tactics you employ, our players shouldn't be cocking up like that.

What the feck were the coaches doing prepping the players up for matches like this? If it's overconfidence, it's still the manager's fault to remind players NOT to take these games lightly.

Would anyone else put either Januzaj or Kagawa in center midfield for Cleverley? Don't think they'd do any worse really.

Moyes will just say losing is fine, defeats happen and we'll bounce back in the next game etc.
