The 141st FA cup Final - Chelsea v Liverpool

Ralf is a bit weird. He also said there was only 48hrs left in the window when this conversation took place, so this would have been Jan 29th. The Diaz deal was completed on the 30th so there was no chance of gazumping a deal Liverpool would have been working on for a while.

Meh I don't really presume to know the behind the scenes stuff. The overall thrust was he wanted players and didn't get them.

Odd that he would mention random players, especially ones in other leagues like Vlahovic.

Hope the players remember to take their drugs and Klopp reminds the ref that his bosses will be unhappy if we don't win.

Also long balls and luck.

Did I miss any factor that wins us games?
VAR

Calling Liverpool players by their first names should be an automatic one week ban, especially if the post is a compliment.

I hope Joel and Trent run into each other causing the ball to deflect simultaneously off Robbo and James before going in to their own goal with a nick off Hendo's backside.

Can’t remember last time the scousers lost a penalty shoot out

I thought he meant we could have done those new players transfers in 48 hours, so probably some young unknown or not much known players. Not sure he meant last 48hrs.
Never mind.
Come on Chelseaaaa.

Time for another six-month self-pity campaign by LFC? Remember when he got injured and they couldn't shut up about how sorry everyone should feel for them? It was reminiscent of that time Neymar got injured at the WC and Brazil treated it as some sort of genuine national tragedy.
They Neymar one though
When they had t-shirts
And were gonna do it for him to then get trounced by Germany

Playing such a high line, getting caught in behind and still having the pace to catch up. What a novel idea.

Maguire would still be running now.

I don't think there has ever been such a nailed on draw with this game. Regret not putting some money on it.

Pulisic again. Absolutely terrible player. Reminds me of Rashford

That’s at least a foul? Doesn’t play the ball does he

Yes his main point was we should see if anyone is available and try to get someone, even on loan, which is fair enough and I thought the same at the time. However, he was being a bit disingenuous in my view by naming those players.

Vlahovic signed for Juve on the 28th and Alvarez on the final day but again these deals would likely have been mostly done at the time Ralf was talking to the board and we'd have had to gazump Liverpool, City or Juve to get them.

Pawson hasn’t got the stones for a decision like that.

ESPN co-commentator continuing to wax lyrical over the most wasteful player on the field, Christian Pulisic. For the love of god get him off.
