If that photo is indeed genuine, which I hope it isn’t, I hope football fans as a whole take a stance and something good comes out of it. Absolutely disgusted and saddened that any human being would do that about a dead child. The fact that his mate is laughing about it is incomprehensible.

Wednesday fans seem to be speaking up against it, which is good to see. Not all hope is lost.

A couple of Wednesday fans were pointing to a pic of Bradley Martin on their phones and using it to taunt Sunderland fans.

Bradley Martin was a Sunderland fan who died (aged 6) after a pretty public battle with cancer a few years ago.

Completely awful, most fans will debate and get heated where football is concerned but this is off the chart, absolutely dreadful behaviour and does make you question what’s the fecking point.
 
Should be an automatic lifetime ban from all stadiums.

It looks kinda photoshopped, but could be real.
It does look like there may be stadium light reflecting off the screen in the upper part where his head is, but the image quality isn’t the best.

However, what I love about the era we live in is that in an instant people have doxxed him on Twitter/X, we know where they work and they risk losing their jobs and livelihood.

That is at least something we cling to hope that their lives are fecked by this thanks to online sleuths.

That photo looks dodgy as hell, and you're calling for people to be doxxed and to have their lives ruined on the back of it?

That doesn't make you a whole lot better than them even if it's real.
 
Disgusting and an absolute outrage if real. A police matter though? Unless I'm missing something here, that doesn't sound right to me.

Certainly compared to the rest of the shot. In that kind of daylight brightness, from distance, just no way. The images on the phone might well have been of the poor lad, but that looks somehow 'processed' to me.

Fans on the Sheffield Wednesday forum are saying there are other photos of the same lads from different angles, I’ve not seen them, so can’t confirm.

It hasn't been confirmed yet. I thought it was photoshopped but my friend made a fair observation on the group chat: his fingers overlap the phone, so chances are it's real.

The two guys have been identified and their workplaces have been notified too. The game was last night so by now maybe we would have seen them deny it.

A mask in Photoshop literally takes 5 seconds to make. I think it's a good fake; i find it hard to believe you'd get this kind of lighting from this far. The white case of the phone is getting blown out by the sun but the screen doesn't seem that affected by it.
It's either two disgusting d*ckheads or one disgusting troll that made the photoshoped picture.

Exactly my thoughts. We either got two disgusting human beings or one disgusting human with photoshop.
