Whelan made a mistake for Villa which nobody could do anything about, he's got rid of any danger in his way but it's mostly been Villa attacking. Not the best game to judge him on because of this. It's all Villa in the front foot until now.

Might need to see it again, I thought he went for it before the ball was in the keepers grasp. He committed to sliding in, hoping his team mate would find him but a bad ball from his teammate.

He slid in to get a touch on it like, he was hardly diving in to do the keeper. I just don't see that as a yellow card. A foul, yeah. Jut not a yellow.
