The Great Escape from relegation 2017: Tigers vs Swans

Come on Hull, if they stay up Silva should get manager of the season award.
I think that's a very fair shout. Nobody was giving them a chance in January. Silva came from a club where he was winning things to take over the challenge of a relegation dogfight and has done very well. Bigger achievement than Conte's in my books.

Really looking forward to the Palace vs Hull game, if only to see how well Silva fares against a veteran like Allardyce.

Swansea leading 1:0 at home against Everyone at HT. They'll go above Hull if they win today.

Maybe we should start finding a way to keep both clubs up?

Can't see the Swans getting relegated if they can beat everyone at the same time.

If Swansea win this and Hull beat Palace next week things get interesting, there's still a slight chance they both stay up.

Now, about your username.. you have to tell me about it. I find myself speaking it out loud whenever I come across your posts.

Heh. It's basically how my name sounds like pronounced, but spelled in a "funny" way.

Rightly said. Only problem is, Palace play us on the last day. If we go out of Europa and have a chance at top four then..

Hopefully we won't go out of Europa.

Wow. Didn't expect Marco Silva to lose his home record to Sunderland.

Surely we'd be far more motivated to win in the first scenario which benefits Swansea and Hull. If we're just focused on the Europa League we'd be resting key players.

Oh I get what you mean now, yeah Palace on the last day would be tough if they are still in a scrap.

Hopefully Palace can be dragged into the thick of things to boost our hopes.

Really want Swansea relegated. We just always seem to drop points against them.

Hull are as good as gone after today's set back.

Have to be brave and go for a win against Palace. Their last game vs Spurs is likely to be a dead rubber so there's still an outside chance.

Winning against Palace away will take some doing though. If there's an escape now, it surely will be a great one..

Swansea getting an unexpected point against us last week was blow for Hull but today was a fecking travesty for them. How the actual feck did they lose to Sunderland at home! Pretty pissed off as I really like Silva and wanted them to stay up.

I fancy Palace to beat Hull at Selhurst Park next week and Swansea to end up staying up. It's unfortunate as Hull really shot themselves in the foot today.

Palace can't afford to lose to Hull so the way I see it, they already are in the thick of things.

You guys played great! Loved the way Swansea were pressing even after 70 minutes. Here's hoping you'll forget this season soon and return to playing your traditional way of possession football.

Oh and please smash Moyes, will you? Thanks

They reverted to the pre-Silva Hull. Good build-up, average final delivery, pathetic finishing.

As I said before, Sunderland have matches with both Hull and Swnsea and with the pressure of survival 'gone', are likely to decide who goes down with them. Seems like the w*nkers have chosen.

That's a good point, two good managers in Allardyce and Silva as well so should be a tightly contested game.

It was a lot of effort and can't ask for any more than that, in recent weeks some of the attitude has been questionable tbh but looks like the players are really giving their all now, like you said the pressing game was great and everyone worked their socks off. I'm hoping that too, Olsson and Carroll have hit the ground running (less said about Narsingh the better) so hopefully Clement can bring a couple more players in and get us back playing a passing game.

Fingers crossed! Not sure what he has on the Sunderland board to still be in the job

Although I like Hull and think Silva is a top manager, I'm hoping they lose tomorrow and put my mind at ease. Don't fancy our chances against West Brom if we need a win :nervous:

In a way tomorrows game is an advantage for Hull, in that they know they have to really win, whilst Palace just need a draw to survive. I think teams/players start hesitating when they have choices in what to do.

Hull really fecked everything up with that lose to Moyes's Sunderland. Expect a draw between them and Palace tomorrow.
