I dunno, they're the same height, and apparently Khabib has to undergo a ridiculous cut to make weight. They sure haven't looked the same size recently, though, that's for sure. And at GSP's age, I'm not sure how much he can cut.

Khabib mentioned in that press conference that he has parted company with his nutritionist from his last fight (who is working with Holloway incidentally). I really fecking hope he makes weight without incident. It sounds like Holloway has a fairly drastic cut to make as well, so same goes for him.

If he were to miss weight, i guess they'll do something like with Rockhold vs Romero, and let only Max to be eligible to win the belt. (as long as he accepts the fight)

Aye, not much point in him continuing at lightweight if he can't make the championship weight. On the plus side, he did hit 155.5 for his last fight when he only had to reach 156, and he seemed to do it easily, so fingers crossed he doesn't mess it up.
I'm confident Khabib get most of his body to meet the weight standard. Its his massive Cro-Magnon head that worries me.

I thought he got a new nutrionist for his last fight and that it’s the same guy who works with Max now? Did he bin the nutrionist after 1 fight? Just I was watching egghead and big brown talk about it yesterday and in previous shows they’d talked about the nutrionist he has now is the best around.
@Vato watch this around 6:40. This is Kahbib on deaths door mind but I remember hearing ages ago that Kahbib was cutting 40lbs for fights as he’s more like 190-200lbs. That’s over a full training camp. Also DC says when they wrestle they go to war so f he can hang with an Olympian medal winning heavyweight at wrestling don’t think he’d be phased by GSP.
Watched the press conference yesterday and Khabib was starting to talk a bit of shit to Max, who wasn't having any of it really. Khabib saying that Max isn't ready for this and he's only doing it for the money. Seemed a strange angle to go for when Max has said all the long that if someone pulls out he'll be ready to step in and has always maintained that he wants to be remembered as a legend who defends his throne. Even said as much around the time of the Aldo (2) fight.

In fairness to both they didn't seem to be getting to heated, they were pretty visibly laughing and smiling at some parts of it. It didn't seem a huge rivalry but more of a laugh between the 2 of them.
Yeah I thought that might have something to do with it. They aren't really trash talkers but Khabib seemed to be the one interjecting his opinion to get a bit of drama. He doesn't really seem comfortable with it though.

I know Max said that he can beat Khabib and that he wouldn't be fighting him if he didn't think he could win, but I get the impression from him that he know's he's gonna get smashed for 25 mins. Just the things he's said, there's an interview when he's laying on a bed with compression trousers on and I thought to myself "he knows he's done for", and then at the presser he was saying Khabib was the best there is - could just be mind games.
