The MMA thread

Dan Hardy has a 4 fight deal in the ufc.. i can see him being one if the leading welterweights within a year

Guess not....

first ufc in a long time that i cant be arsed with...

rampage v forrest next month and im stuck on a fecking plane for that... just not fair...

cant wait for dan hardy to start in the ufc though... i think hes going to go far...

Amir will destroy CB

Agreed. Amir has better strikes and has shown that he's getting faster in the scramble, as shown by his submissions when it seems he's fecked. Don't know why JT was thrown out, I've missed the last 2 weeks.

I'll be in Vegas on Aug 9, so I'm trying to get tickets for the GSP vs. Finch fight. Huerta vs. Florian are also on the card. What really sucks is that I get into Vegas 3 days after the Rampage vs. Forrest fight.

he will take him to the cleaners

the same one where they filmed that levis advert with the i heard it through the grapevine music

Good shit from Amir ... same submission from the same position. CB definitely tapped, if unintentionally. Kendall Grove looked good, but Tanner seems to be at the end so it really wasn't that good of a judgement fight.

JT went crazy kicked open a limo's window ..harassed the female staff at the hotel he was staying and kept screaming that he is a fecking UFC fighter ..it was all caught on tape. He would have been a better match up for Amir but he wouldn't have won

He's a fecking idiot! What a way to potentially ruin any chance you had at a career!

Saw the replay before the finale. A fecking idiot is right ... Dana kept telling him he wasn't ready for the big time and that he needed to grow up. When Dana tells you to act like you have some respect because Vegas is UFC's home, you better listen.

Well he didn't, and his career is fecked!

I was walking down the Quays today and I swore I saw Evan Tanner begging on the Halpenny Bridge!

I just seen an interview with Shonie Carter, what an idiot that guy is.

Anyway, UFC 86 is on later. I think it's the first time I'm going to get to see the whole thing live. Setanta are showing them all now live. I can't wait but I think it is an extremely weak card.

Quick question, will there be anywhere to watch the upcomping Affliction PPV on Sky or Setanta or somewhere?

What a win for Forrest? I thought it was a lot closer than the judges gave it. We might see a Forrest v Chuck or Forrest v Wanderlei next.

Difficult fight to score. I'd have had it a draw - 3 rounds to 2 in favour of Rampage, but Forrest had to get a 10-8 round for the ass kicking he dished out in Round 2.

I love the light heavyweight division. Some great fighters but all of them have shown themselves to be beatable, Machida apart.

Who if anyone do you all think will beat Machida?

i stayed out of this thread until i saw the fight..

wow.. good fight!

i thought it was closer than the judges did, but after the fight and before the decision was announced i expected forrest to win but wouldn't have been suprised if rampage did.
it was sooo close to call, but i think forrest got it because he was dictating the fight... he was carrying out his plan where rampage wasn't... obviously rampage underestimated him and was suprised early on.... he did well to come back into the fight and if it had continued i think he'd have ended up knocking forrest out.
