I tried to read the World War Z book but it really wasn't that good.

Also I swear to god the amount of blaring sirens in a trailer for a film is inversely related to it's cinematic worth.

Prometheus
Really looking forward to this. Bad acting and all.
Speilbergs Lincoln has been getting some god reviews.
Production on this was a mess apparently and they had to reshoot entire sequences. At one point it was going to be written off and never released, so my hopes for it are limited.
I agree does not sound promising, I do like Brad Pitt, Se7en , Fightclub and Inglourious Basterds are all excellent.
It's one of those wonderful, heartwarming tales about how a political film with a great script was rescued by an insightful, visionary executive and re-written to be less like Children of Men (urgh, arty) and more like The I Am Bourne Legend (yay, action) for the sake of the people!
They even brought in Damon Lindelof to mess up the ending (by presumably making it indecipherably ambiguous and spiritual) but he unfortunately didn't have the time, as he was busy messing up Prometheus at the time.

The WWZ trailer looks shite. They scrapped doing it anything like the book and have pretty much just kept the title.
Yeah it looks like your standard zombie-action flick, which is pretty much the opposite of the book. Pitt being in it doesn't mean anything since he was already deeply involved before the shit hit the fan; couldn't have been easy to drop out at that point, even though I'm sure he would have loved to.
I'm going to pretend thats a generic Brad Pitt zombie thriller that has no connection to the book because judging from the trailer that's exactly what it is.
I'll join in and say that the trailer for WW-Z looks atrocious. Doesn't look like they're doing anything remotely close to the book ... and that CGI - what the feck is up with that?
I have no idea what the book is like I have not read any of them.

I just found out that Robopocalypse is being made into a film that's scheduled for release in 2014.
I really liked the book and it looking at who is signed on to be involved (Spielberg directing Chris Hemsworth and Anne Hathaway), it's gonna be one of the biggest films of the year.

The screenplay is being done by some guy who wrote on Buffy, Angel, Alias and Cabin in the Woods so I would imagine it will be fairly light and maybe a bit tounge in cheek.

So it's finally got the go ahead brilliant.
Time for him to hang his whip up, 1, 3 excellent, 2 and 4, dreadful, maybe 5 will be the best of the lot and finish Indiana Jones on a high.

A sequel after 60+ year, I hope not , I think it would be a disaster.
So in other words, it's shit but enjoyable to those who just want a bit of batshit insane make no sense fun?
