How'd you come up with 5.63?
Just thought of a number between 5 and 6. It seems about right though.
How'd you come up with 5.63?
Omen
Classic horror film, one of my favorites.
Gregory Peck and Lee Remick both excellent.
Billie Whitelaw is genuinely creepy as Damien's nanny Mrs. Baylock. Patrick Troughton is superb as the withering Father Brennan. But my applause goes to Harvey Stephens' who's the epitome of evil… well; he definitely looked the part and had a memorizing awe as Damien.
The music still scares me even after watching it many times, the films still looks good even though it is 39 years old.
The Finale and the end scene with Damien demonic face staring back is chilling.
8/10
Omen 2
The start follows of straight from the first one with Bugenhagen showing a college the face of the Anti Christ and both being buried under tons of sand and rocks.
Jumps forward 7 years, Damian is now a teenager at Military School and discovers who he is.
The story itself is pretty good actually, now that Damien has been under the care of his aunt and uncle, strange things are happening again. It seems like anyone who is getting to close to finding out the truth about Damien is getting killed in some freak accident.
Music again is excellent.
Again the final scene is of Damion just staring with that demonic grin.
Not up to the standard of the first film , but has a sequel it is not bad and is deserving of a watch.
6.5/10
Omen 3
Now the adult Anti Christ, Damion tries to kill the Nazarene.
There is a group of Monks trying to kill him, Every time a monk gets anywhere near Damien the poor guy falls off a bridge or drops down a hole or just slips on a banana peel or something.
Sam Neil is dreadful, Lisa Harrow is decent enough as is Don Gordon who plays Harvey Dean his right hand man.
The baby deaths in the film and the last one with the iron are pretty horrific.
Again the best part about the film is the music, Jerry Goldsmith's score is the best he did out of the three films.
You have to watch this if you have seen the first 2, but it is a poor 3rd to the first 2.
5/10
...nice review apart from the red bits. There's a TV series coming out next year
Damien: Omen II ... Damien the Antichrist,Damian*
Badlands: My first Malick film and it was a good one. Totally and frankly American, great performances, beautiful film.
Wasn't there some shite attempt to do a sequel with a female 'Damien'? Not sure it was officially linked to the trilogy. In fact am pretty sure it wasn't.sorry my crap spelling strikes again , of course if should be Damien, Damien.
I have the box set and that film is in it, watched it once never again , it is dreadful.Wasn't there some shite attempt to do a sequel with a female 'Damien'? Not sure it was officially linked to the trilogy. In fact am pretty sure it wasn't.
Agree with your reviews, although I would be harsher on the third one. The first film is a genuine classic.
I barely remember the third apart from the bloke from 'Dear John' and countless Hammer films being adult Damien and Jesus appearing at the end.I have the box set and that film is in it, watched it once never again , it is dreadful.
The 3rd film had the potential to be an absolute cracker but they failed, I like Sam Neil but why he played it the way he did was beyond me
Some of the lines he had and the way he acted them were appalling.
I am older , I was 12 when the first one came out.I barely remember the third apart from the bloke from 'Dear John' and countless Hammer films being adult Damien and Jesus appearing at the end.
I was born in '76- am as old as the first film![]()
'Dear John'
Glad some other oldie appreciates the reference!I watched a box set of that recently. Bloody funny, underrated series.
Lawrence of Arabia - First time seeing it in the cinema, in 70mm. Absolutely incredible looking film and the sheer scope of it is intimidating. 227 minutes was testing.
Yes but again not on the big screen. It really was next level.have you seen Dr. Zhivago?
also Lean's Passage to India is very under rated but a beautiful film.

Really was good.Slow West - real good. Only an hour an a half long as well, take note other directors.
Slow West?Absolutely have to watch it, keep forgetting it.
Yeah.Slow West?
SalòSlow West?
Ant Man
A bit late to the party here but quite enjoyed it. Paul Rudd was really good in it as were Michael Pena and T.I. Some moments really had me laughing out loud and overall, the action sequences and story were quite good. Would liked to have seen what Edgar Wright would have bought to the table but nonetheless, it was a really enjoyable film 7.5/10
Slow West - brilliantly depressing film. Loved it.

Election - It was okay but...meeeh.
Electric Dragon 80.000 V - Bonkers, stylish but ultimately nonsensical and tiring. The running time was perfect.
Part of the Le Nouvelle Vague movement, indeed.Mmmm, vague, very vague... mmmm...
Was this before or after watching The Warriors?Robin Hood Prince of Thieves:
This was a film that in my childhood I would watch pretty much every Saturday morning with my sister. I would like to offer a formal apology to my father for putting him through such torment.
