I think Spurs will win it now.

I think so too.

Just realised we don't have a Christian Eriksen thread. People praise Kane and Alli, but Eriksen is surely as deserving as these 2. If Mata is sold, I'd actually love to see Eriksen in our side, thats how much I love him. Just look at those passes and they would have been replayed over and over had he been English.
I thought he was the best player on the pitch tonight as he often is ... .
I asked in the matchday thread but then Spurs scored and it got missed..
Does anyone find it difficult watching Spurs? They are everything United SHOULD be
Absolutely, it's depressing.I asked in the matchday thread but then Spurs scored and it got missed..

I think Spurs will do it 7 goals scored in two very tricky away fixtures, none conceded and to me they just have that look of Champions then again that is partly down to the fact I want them to do it. I don't wish to elaborate on my thoughts about Leicester suffice to say the less said the better on that one.
@GlastonSpur @SirHenryPercy what sort of players would you like to see be signed this summer?

Do you know of anyone coming through your academy you're all hopeful of?Personally I think we are in the most difficult position of all the teams at the top end. If you look at the likes of Utd, City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal it's fairly obvious where they can improve and you can recognise players that they could go and get to make those improvements, they all also have the transfer kitty's and wage structures to get those players.
Conversely we have a very good side but we need to improve because all the others will, but finding players to improve us will be much more difficult. They are of course there but we will be competing for their signatures against all of you, we will get outbid and we won't be able to match the wages.
We will be fortunate to get another Alli or Dier, or to get a free run at another player of Alderweireld's quality, but that's what we will likely try to do rather than being left to sign the higher end players that you others don't want.
In an ideal world we need another top quality CF, we are always one injury to Kane away from being in trouble, it would help if that player could also play wide, we need to look for more goals from wide positions.
We could also do with another quality CM player. We don't need and defenders, I'm happy with our FB's and we have Toby, Verts, and Wimmer as the 3 CB's with Dier if we need him as the fourth ( we also have a great lad called Cameron Carter Vickers coming through). However that scenario could leave us light in midfield and Moussa also has some hip issues. Mason,Carroll and Bentaleb are good squad players but we need another quality body in there.
If we can keep our squad together which I think we will I'd love to see us add Morata and Witsel. However I see little chance of us getting the former so maybe Batshuayi who we are constantly linked with from Marseille will come in but I've really no idea how good he is.
Fingers crossed we can find another Alli or Dier, but seeing as we only paid £7.5m for the pair of them it's unlikely.
In short we need a forward and a DM/CM.
Thanks for the replies. From the outside I see what you're saying about needing to improve starting XI to remain competitive but also agree with Glaston that breaking up the starting XI that is working so wonderfully now isn't the best idea when signings could end up being another Soldado.
Striker seems to be the toughest position. You've got Kane but need a backup for if he gets injured. You've signed Son but he's not had the best of starts to his Spurs career so far.
Do neither of you think Bentaleb could be on his way out? Had a good start to his career but even when not injured he isn't really played anymore.

That is a great shout, I watched him against Real Madrid and he impressed me so much. I kept thinking, he would be another of Chelsea reject, who has tons of potential that Chelsea neglected. He has the pace and penetrative run Spurs lack out wide with lamela, Chadli and EriksonNext season will be harder for Spurs, no doubt about it. Other teams will be stronger and Tottenham will be approached with much more respect given their showing this year. No reason why they cannot retain their top four spot though, Pochettino does not seem at all like a manager who could get complacent either, which coupled with their youthful squad bodes well. I reckon they need a quick attacking player who gets in behind defences as a plan B (Salah if attainable could be worth a go), a CM and a good striker to compete with Kane and fill his burden in case of an injury.

What position does Edwards play? I've heard about Vickers actually, from people in the States.Cameron Carter Vickers who is an 18 year old CB is the one that everybody is raving about, despite being an Essex lad he's already playing for the USA under 23's and building a big reputation. He hasn't made his debut yet but he's been captain of the U21's since he was 17 and has been included in quite a few match day squads and made a number of benches.
We also have a young kid just turned 17 called Marcus Edwards, he looks incredible but Barcelona are trying to pinch him.

Personally I think Bentaleb will go this summer, and whoever gets him will be getting a bloody good player but his style doesn't suit the way Poch wants to play....

Yes, me too. I forgot to add him to my above list of 'outs'. He was good last season - but not as good as many on COYS seemed to think IMO, and certainly not as good as he himself seemed to think. He played up rough in the summer about wanting a big pay rise, then got injured and has since been left out in the cold.
If he was really prepared to knuckle down, work hard at adapting to Poch's system and accept that he'll have to fight to get back his place in the starting XI, then maybe he'd be given another chance. But Poch is ruthless, so he's a probably a gonner in the summer.
Batshuayi would be an extremely astute signing, has an enormous amount of potential.Personally I think we are in the most difficult position of all the teams at the top end. For me too. The 2 assists for Alli's goals were sublime. We'd be talking about Eriksen this Eriksen that had he been EnglishI thought he was the best player on the pitch tonight as he often is, fantastic player.
Doubt this thread will be bumped tonight as per so thought I'd do the honours.
A draw at home vs a poor WBA side all but steers the trophy away from Spurs and into the clutches of the crisp eaters.[/QUOTE
Ouch
Just texted my Spurs supporting mate. He'd been starting to believe since last Monday. Pretty bummed out now
I'm not so sure.Have had a fabulous season. Cracking young manager, with a really strong, young squad. Can only get better.
