The Spurs thread

But that article doesn't mention the amount the bookies got from the lost outright bets of the favourites.

I still reckon the bookies cleaned up this season.

I agree, it seems low compared to what they would have paid out if Chelsea or City (I think we're the pre season favourites) had won.

A bookies worst fear is the favourites winning so I'd say they comfortably covered their losses.

OK. The bet being that United will finish above Spurs next season - i.e. so you pay me £50 if they don't and I pay you £50 if they do.

Actually, the bet I proposed was that Spurs will finish outside the top 4, but I like this one better. £50, it is.

Right now I think we need 25 new players and a new manager for next season. The way they've finished the season is fecking disgraceful.
Hahahaha we are so shit feck you you bottling cnuts
I'm fecking done
feck this team
Ha ha, that's just lovely. Call me a melt, but this is fecking abysmal.
Suggested half time subs: 3 suspect packages.

As i've been saying he's an atrocious player that offers nothing. Poch drops Benteleb after 1 bad performance when he returns yet plays Mason again and again despite being utterly shit. Should have been Alderweireld partnering Dier today but nope we get the nothing player that is mason doing.......nothing. A joke really.

Unprofessional. Pathetic. Disgraceful. Shameful. I hope Poch gives these players the biggest bollocking ever. I would've said after the season we've had that our players deserve to have one of these performances, but 3 or 4 in the final 4 games is unforgivable.
YOU feckING BOTTLE cnuts. COMMITTING US FANS, WHO PAY ALL OUR HARD EARNED, TO ANOTHER TOTTERINGHAMS DAY

Manager said last week, it wasn't important to finish above Woolwich. That's why the players aren't motiovated and won't be motivated in the second half. Pretty disgraceful effort anyway!

Fans on Spurs forum taking things well.

I know they have a good young team and its a good season for them, but is 70 points really all that impressive?

Didn't Redknapp get 4th with a similar total?

They've finished with 72 points before, also 70 as well.

Obviously it is all relative and they will be playing CL football next season.

I am pissing myself here. All the talk about how this Spurs team is going to take everyone by storm and yet they are about to finish below Arsenal

People did say that Poch's teams always drop off in the last quarter of the season...it's been kind of quiet but it's totally happened again.

I said a while back when most were making assumptions we will finish above those cnuts that if anything can conspire to make us finish below them, it usually does.
Losing Ali for such trivial shit was a blow, but then Costa, ( aided by Mikel and Fabregas) doing what he's good at and losing Dembele, was massive. Then when we have a chance, Sissoko dives and the shit cnut Taylor falls for it.
We all should have known we had no quality in depth. Just look at our bench.
We are very fortunate not to have lost both Dembele and Ali earlier on in the season really. We ave a great starting 11, but the options for replacing each one of those 11 - at least this season with Njie and Son, are not as good, bar maybe Wimmer/Trippier.
I knew this was going to happen. It was evident at home last weekend that Wanayama and Clasie were too much from Mason and Dier so Tiote and Colback were going to be too much also.

Couple that with our league one debutant, the only wild card when we have when we need something special, also missing.

Good old conspiracy theories.

Very lucky that they had their first 11 available for the vast majority of the season. They've crumbled without it.
