The Spurs thread

As a United fan it is always horrible to finish behind teams, but it hurts even more if those teams are City and/or Liverpool, over say an Arsenal or Chelsea due to the massive rivalry we have with those teams.

I always thought the rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal was similar, maybe it is to some fans, but maybe not you. Do you think you're part of the majority of Spurs fans that don't mind finishing behind Arsenal as long as your have met/exceeded your seasons targets? Or the minority?

It would depend on where you grew up too. Being from Melbourne I've never experienced the tribal cross-town rivalry first hand, let alone grown up fostering it. I can't say I hate Spurs (like I do Chelsea), and TBH I appreciate how they go about their business.

If we've met our targets I would say it's still probably the majority but personally Arsenal don't really bother me, if we'd finished 5th and Arsenal 4th as has happened before I would be really pissed off with it as I was then, but 2nd to 3rd to me makes no difference.

I grew up in London and hating Arsenal, I'm older now so they don't bother me like they once did. These days I'm really only concerned with how we do.
