Juiciest bit from Omarosa is that Trump's daughter in law attempted to pay her off by way of a 15k/month sham job in exchange for her signing an NDA to never speak badly about Trump. Claims Spicer is already on the same contract which is why he never speaks badly about Trump.
Why is that a big deal though?
Its generally unethical to use intermediary or private funds to pay off government employees. Government activity isn't subject to private NDAs, especially when the purveyor of the NDA is still a government official.

Agreed. Trump is famous for his NDAs when he was running the Trump Org, but has now gone into some seriously shady territory by creating sham jobs for ex employees in order to buy their silence while they were with the government.

You can't share confidential/classified information as a government employee or after you leave government.
But that's not really an NDA? I'm not sure I'm right but I'd guess that's standard practice. Trump is probably getting them to sign NDAs for stuff that is not classified. That's the part I don't understand. I read some time ago that government officials were protected from NDAs. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That's true. They aren't supposed to be signing private NDAs attempting to restrict them from talking about their non-classified government work

The whole American political system is as corrupt as most banana republics. It's being exposed for the money making, back slapping old boys club that it's been for many decades. The only difference now is that the figurehead is too damn stupid to cover it up.
The last 4 terms of Democrats have been a truly awful political parties. That the intervening and post Republican terms are slightly worse is simply not the story.

It's easier to concentrate on gossip and silly stories about personalities instead of doing actual tough, probing journalism on departmental corruption and the like. Our news media fails us just as much as our politicians. This is because they are part of the same moneyed interests.
They do both. Just look at the daily litany of Scott Pruitt and Tom Price stories that came out until both got sacked. DeVos, Ross, Zinke, and Carson have also been investigated.
