Different event but same cnuts.

Woodward and Bernstein on the Trump administration:
"Some parallels with Watergate are inescapable," he said. “Obviously there are similarities, not least of which is part of the story is about undermining the electoral process. You’re also dealing with cover-ups in both instances and special prosecutors.”

But the differences from that era appear more profound to him. Bernstein explained: “This is worse than Watergate in the sense that the system worked in Watergate and it’s not apparent yet that the system is working in the current situation. No president has done anything like Trump to characterise the American press and its exercise of the first amendment as the enemy of the people, a phrase associated with the greatest despots of the 20th century.”
Woodward and Bernstein: Watergate echoes loud in Donald Trump era
Veteran journalists may have thought their biggest story was behind them, then Trump came along. ‘This is worse than Watergate’, says Bernstein:

Skeletor shouldn't have opened her mouth about this, as it will open up a can of worms about public money being used for NDAs

In case you're afraid you're going crazy when you can't find my post again, I moved it to the general US politics thread.

But also: yes. Those guys look ridiculous.

It's a good thing I quoted it or it'd look like I was being really mean to Kellyanne Conway.

"Trump in swap deal for Pogba". @foxandfriends @dailyexpress

Do you remember the good old days where the commercial news channels would quote the president rather than the opposite? Now any fox news anchor/commentator makes a statement of obviously partisan opinion and Trump repeats it as though it legitimises his own opinion as fact.

I've never seen or heard of anything like this happening anywhere else before, now it's reality in the country that claims to rule the world. Whatever happens after Trump, something must be done to ensure it's not the new normality.

Yep, the media are dictating our agenda these days and no one checks if what they say is true or not because it suits propaganda.

Which is dumb, in 2018. Take literally everything with a pinch of salt.... No matter the source. Only take something as gospel once you've been convinced by something other than confirmation bias. You know, like facts?

People saying they are worried National Security now? Even after someone was allowed to write a fecking book about inside the White House AND after they openly have said they now won't disclose the visitors logs. Fml.

It's been obvious since the very start that this would be a security clusterfeck. Yet another seriously worrying problem caused by Trump and yet another reason why the rest of the world will be taking advantage of the USA as well as laughing at it.
Not to mention the hundreds of diplomatic posts and ambassadorships around the world yet to be filled.

 Also called Bhutan...."Button".

Omarosa dropping some pretty damaging info on MSNBC right now.

Not the 'begging for a job' schtick again...
He really enjoys belittling people, doesn't he?

She just leaked the phonecall Trump after she was fired.

He tweeted this earlier

“People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. ...heard really bad things. Nasty to people and would constantly miss meetings and work. Gen Kelly told me she was a loser and nothing but problems. I told him to try and work it out.. .. because she only said GREAT things about me”

He’s either lying his ass off or admitting that he’d keep an incompetent problem maker as an employee of the government because she spoke nicely about him.

The state of this really.

It’s these sorts of comments that are evidence to me how differently wired his brain is to most peoples.

Much like “fake news” essentially means “news I don’t like”, having a NDA and being legally silenced translates to “what she says isn’t true because there’s a legal document that says she’s not allowed to say it”.

These tweets show him up for the fecking pussy he is when you listen to the phone recording. He said he found out about it on TV, sounds about right.
