In fairness it's only easy to say this with hindsight.
We were crying out for more goals last year, Lukaku hasn't been the answer and will probably leave in the summer. We still need another striker to replace him.
I'm also wondering if the sanctions haven't created something of a siege mentality around the club. After all, it's incredibly unjust to punish Chelsea fans, club employees including everyone from the kit man, the tea lady and of course the playing staff and Tuchel for the actions of the Russian government and Putin.
Looks like we have some very Interesting ownership options now too. Maybe Utd fans will be secretly hoping the Glazers also get sanctioned eventually and forced to sell
