Top 4 race 2016/17

I remember the Barca game. Young Wilshere ran the show and has been living off that game since :D

I think Arsenal will not just beat City but I've a feeling you'll dish a hammering on them. The speed and movement of Sanchez - Welbeck - Walcott will cause their dodgy defence and slow midfield a lot of problems.

I kinda think we'll lose actually

City will have QF matches in between their Arsenal FA Cup match, won't they? Plus we don't know when the United league match with City will be scheduled. Definitely makes me think City either aren't making it past Arsenal or are going to drop out of top 4 soon. Especially considering the Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea matches they have back to back to back.

Good luck with that one.
BTW we have just gone 6 away games without conceding.

And who did you play in those games.. Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, West Ham & Palace. You only managed a 0 - 0 at Huddersfield. Middlesbrough & West Ham didn't bother turning up as the cup was not a priority.

West Ham was a league game, still you can only compete with what's in front of you

You think?

Part of me hoped they'd go through tonight so their focus wasn't just on the league
City/ Pep's teams usually are a smooth based team. When they're on a run of good form, they're hard to stop. It's good to disrupt their smooth as they would likely continue to drop points

We're still behind what has to be the worst Arsenal team in yonks!

Maybe we should just get Mourinho to chant that at the lads pre game tomorrow!

We are not going to win tomorrow. Just glad we are in the Europa league. We will finish in the same spot as last season.

Wide open again, IF we can win tomorrow  :wenger:

I've stopped saying that. Every time our opponents are nice enough to drop points, we promptly go and return the favour. Bournemouth FFS... Expecting us to eff it up against boro and a new manager (which we have a history of doing)...

Bye bye Champions League. It had to happen sooner or later. Luck doesn't last forever.

It's not true luck Arsenal have made Top Four for the past 17-years, it's simply down to the fact that they had an amazing manager.

Without having the same multi-billions in funds as City/Chelsea/United in that time, Arsenal consistently finished ahead of everyone else in the whole league. Class manager is Wenger.

Looks to me like Arsenal are set for a culture shock with Wenger looking very likely to be gone in two months' time. There's no way whatsoever they will finish in the Top Four with the regularity they have been post-Wenger, no way at all.

Hoping I don't see the word bottle on this forum tomorrow. Means we will all be happy :)

I wouldn't get my hopes up on us winning those two games in hand.

This United side likes nothing better than to sh!t the bed and drop two points.

It's a risk, but we have to try a new thing. We are just steady and slowly decading atm.

Arsenal effectively 7 points behind Spurs now.

There's one huge reason why we will start to win with more regularity in the closing part of the season.

At some stage, the likes of Boro and others down in the bottom third of the table won't be able to just hang on for a point like they have been at Old Trafford all season. A point won't be good enough for these teams in the close of the campaign. These guys are desperate for points and have to go out with intentions to win games. If teams aren't sitting right back against us, holding out for a draw, we can win easily.

I'm in the minority, but I still think our best chance at CL football next season is via the league. We can not rely on a knock-out competition.

We just need to keep consistent in the league...if we win as many points as Arsenal do between now and the end of the season (which is very doable seeing as we have been out-pointing them since the turn of the year) and we outscore Liverpool by just one point (which is very do-able seeing as we have been outscoring them since the turn of the year) - we will finish Top Four. It's nowhere near as bleak as some fans are suggesting. I think we'll finish top four.

Yet again we get an opportunity to bridge the gap. We simply have to take it. No excuses. We should beat Middlesbrough.

I trust in what Jose is doing but I also agree with Keane's criticism. We have to beat the teams that are much inferior. Sure, for a top club we don't have an amazing side, but our squad is far superior to so many of the teams we've struggled against. Tomorrow is a test of character.
