It may not be a popular opinion but I agree with you. If United don't make CL this season, I think it's made worse that we are in the Europa League. Not im not dissing the EL but I think it would definitely have its benefits for next season (Example being Chelsea this season)

Would their fans prefer to get 4th and have a similar season to the past 10 or go and win the Europa League? They'd be favourites for it, along with the other English team that qualified.
I think Spurs will be far too good for them. I think that could be another humiliating defeat for Wenger.

Spurs are yet to enter the bottling process and due a major letdown though, it's still too early but I think Arsenal have a good chance there

If the top 4 changes from here then either United's run of form has been silly good through tough fixtures, or City/Liverpool were woeful through "easier" fixtures.

Spurs, arsenal, city and chelsea with euro league games are too much to deal. And we need 9,10 points from those matches. One away win changes nothing.
If jose is smart then i hope and i think that will be the case, we will play with mixed team in league, resting key players for europa league.
Worst case scenario is to play with zlatan, pogba , herrera, valencia in those PL matches and draw or lose.

They've progressed from last season.Provided they'll keep their players you expect them to challenge properly next season.

We already won the League Cup so we have Europa League football no matter what.
I believe so due to the fa cup and league cup winners already qualifying. That's a seriously early start in the season for whoever ends up there.

Thanks mate. I hope we give at least a go in the F.A. Cup so we don't have to start the Europa League in june/july.

The way I see it, too. United would need an almighty Liverpool collapse for anything to change. We're simply not good (or positive) enough to win enough of the tough matches we've got ahead. Europa or bust.
We've not been good at beating the other top teams except Spurs at home. Winning these games against the top 4 now would be a gigantic achievement, which if we were pushing for the title I'd have faith we could do and the players could deliver, however in the situation we find ourselves in not winning the EL would be a giant failure and it's clearly where our focus should be.
Looking at the teams left in the EL, the only way I can see us losing is if we tire ourselves too much from the league. We have a much, much better team than anyone else who is left and there's no excuses for not doing so.
How to avoid qualifying for the EL? Finish 7th? I really think that is next to impossible.
I'm more confident about those than any home game.

I'm not so sure. In his thousandth game they were talking about him leaving and we beat them 6-0. He seems bulletproof.
Been a bit of a turn of the tide this season though...that year he still had top four to fall back on. Not now.

I'll be cheering for you guys as much as I can, although even if you won they would be heavy favourites, but would be fun to watch them sweat a little for the trophy at least.

It will be, but Spurs will have two games against top six still remaining and I believe four away games, including places like Palace and Leicester.
Psychologically it could be huge, and you never know. But with their fixture list compared to ours we would need to be near perfect, even if they drop a game or two - tough task.
Spurs would be top if it werent for the Champions League earlier on in the season.
I can see Southampton drawing with City today and then us losing to Chelsea.
