There's something seriously wrong if there's doubt about that pitch. It's not that bad at all.

Looks more than playable. Anyone got any information on the roads/trains etc? It's hardly a blizzard out there!

That's not an issue this time from what I've heard.
It's all down to the pitch being playable or not. Looks very decent tbf.
Is the decision to hold a pitch inspection the ref's to make , not Spurs or Levy?

That slight dusting of 'snow' is surely grounds to call off the rest of the season.
tbf to Spurs, not sure it'll be in the best interest of them to call off the match. They're in the UEFA Cup and they wouldn't want to cram more matches.
According to local police, there is no problems outside of the stadium. It's all down to the referee if the pitch is playable or not.

I'm presuming Spurs will be fined if the game does not go ahead...? What with covers and undersoil heating and all that these days. Also, didn't all the scheduled premier league games go ahead yesterday regardless...and also Chelsea V arsenal playing.....

Well that's good news. I assume they will take advice from the local police about safety outside the ground.
They certainly won't want it to have been called off, but it doesn't mean they can't do more about preventing it.
If it does, you've got thousands of reds who've travelled on trains and coaches, forking out god knows how much. You can't ask them to do it again. Football's expensive enough.
The club recognises this, and often subsidises travel for the rearranged game. But why should United foot the cost of Spurs' inadequacies? It's their responsibility to host this game. Something come 2:50pm they may have failed to do. They should be the ones paying for this.

I think that picture was taken a few hours ago, the snow here is still pretty heavy. Anyway, I doubt the pitch itself will be a problem come 4pm.
If the game gets cancelled I think it will be because of the roads. There is no problem at all on the main roads, but all of the side roads in the area are fecked.

Most PL games I can remember being called off for snow in the last few years have been because of danger to the fans getting to and from the ground. Would be shocked to see one called off for the pitch. Look at Stamford Bridge, their heating can't be that much better!
Try telling that to the lads who have managed to get from Manc to London in these conditions, only for the pitch of a top 4 premier league club to be the reason a game is called off.
Yeah, but there's enough room with the club to make the pitch worse and do little other things which you can't pinpoint like removing the covers early, slowing down the undersoil heating etc.... if they desperately don't want the game.
See no reason here, for Spurs not wanting a game now though. No reason for them to deliberately delay it.

If this is true than Spurs deserve the book thrown at them, but looking at the pitch it looks soft and playable with just a light covering of snow.
I'm a similar distance and it's coming down here and settling, but it's not icy. If we avoid rain and the temperature stays as it is, there shouldn't be a problem.
