Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

Whoever is playing at right wing, he has to help out Carrick in the middle. They can't just go venturing forward and relying on pace to keep up with Bale.

Having Rooney in the team puts the fear of Jupiter in the opposition. Tottenham would think twice before coming at us as they would worry far too much about defending than attacking. We have beaten City, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea away from home playing Rooney and Van Persie in attack, why alter the winning formular that has served us so well in the previous difficult away fixtures?

Are we going to get you moaning all game?

I get what you are saying about Rooney, but I can see what is being tried today. If Rooney was fully fit and played the last few games he'd be in no doubt, but the conditions and Welbecks form against the dippers play a part.

There's very little width in that team.

I assume we're playing a 4-5-1 with Welbeck off the right and Kagawa off the left, otherwise there's dick all balance.

I hope that we smash them, but a draw wouldn't be the worst result either.

RVP got on his bike soon enough.

:lol::lol:

Not sure what all the problem is.

The tactic is iobviously to sit deep and absorb pressure for an hour, and then bring on the likes of Rooney when the game stretched and he will have space to manouvre.

Bale and Lennon will be pushing forward from the first second in this game, they are at hiome, and beat us at Old Trafford by pushing up, there is simply no way they wont try it again.

I would think Jones will be a floating defender behind carrick to help double up on the wingers if needed, and hes the one with the strength to give Parker a run for his money too if Carrick's getting bullied out of it.

RVP: Definitely (when asked if payback was motivation for this game)

SAF: No, we never think that way (same question)

Judging the players on who's wearing under armour

Did they playing the Star Wars Sith theme as the players came out of the tunnel?

Why do they even predict how United line up? They're always wrong

Championships can be won and lost on days like today. Sky really have got hold of Nev.

Seriously an incredible bench.

Amazes me that there's still people trying to claim we don't have a world class squad. Class starting lineup and a beast of a bench even with a few players still out!

Right, for me it's:
DDG
Jones
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Rafael
Carrick
Cleverley
Welbeck

Kagawa
RVP

Sadly I think Kagawa will be left, and I just don't see him as a midfielder.

What?

It's either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-1-2

------------------------De Gea------------------------
Rafael-----------Rio------------------Vidic---------Evra
---------------Carrick-------------Jones---------------
-------Kagawa-----------Cleverley----------Welbeck---
--------------------------RVP--------------------------

Or

------------------------De Gea-----------------------
Rafael-----------Rio-----------------Vidic---------Evra
-------------Carrick----Cleverley------Jones-----------
-----------------------Kagawa------------------------
-----------Welbeck-----------------RVP---------------

anybody else think this game could be abandoned?

Que hysteria if we were losing.
