welbeck is excellent outside the box. his link up play, movement is class. just need to be more compose near the box.

He offers so much, and his link up with Cleverley is especially good. You can tell they've developed a good understanding in youth teams over the years.

Could have done better with a couple of situations though. If he'd played Kagawa in it could have been glorious.

When we've managed to get a proper attack going the football has been great, but we've only managed that about three times.

I'm pleased, but this game still has me worried. I really can't see us not conceding at some point, and with the fans behind them, if they get one, I can see Spurs getting another quite quickly. Would definitely like to get a second as soon as possible.

That worry aside, I've liked what we've produced so far. Some of our one touch passing is out of this world at times Jones has been solid in the midfield, defiantly adding a bit of 'presence'. Hope we come out in the second half with our foot on the gas.

I think he's been given a job and that is to cover Rafael when he deals with Bale and he's done that very well. Also to help out in the middle when the play is narrow and he's been effective in that too. I hope that answers your question because am not really sure what you mean by a Phil Neville type CM performance.

United's had some good play but the backing up and letting spurs dictate play is going to cost us. we need to add our own defensive pressure to the game. pressure the F'n ball. limit spurs ability to go forward. DDG has made some great saves but he's had some lucky ones too. the dicey defense continues.
