Tottenham v Manchester United

I fancy us at the weekend

I also get the feeling if we are to win the league we will need to win 2 of our aways against spurs, arsenal, liverpool and chelsea

The two games I would rather win is at Arsenal and at Chelsea. We simply cannot lose to both these teams.

Not sure what formation or what score it will be, but i am sure on one thing. I'll be there :devil::devil:

Mate, that ticket is fake. If look closely you can see there is no row or seat number! Send it back if i were you.

I wouldn't... Must be one of those "pick any seat you want" type of tickets... Quite like in Scrabble when you get the blank piece... Pure quality that is.

Maybe you fill in your predicted score and if your sat in the seat with the correct score you get some money?

It will be a very open game, Ferguson won't play anything but match Spurs' 4-4-2 in my opinion.

------------------------ VDS -------------------------

Rafael ----------- Rio ---------- Vidic ------------ Evra

Nani ---------- Scholes ------- Anderson --------- Giggs

----------------- Berbatov --- Rooney -----------------

(Would be nice IMO)

Last time we played that Central Midfield we lost against Manchester City for the Centenary. Scholes & Anderson just doesn't seem to work for us.

That is pretty obvious isn't it? I mean neither of them are really defensive midfielders and hence we will struggle with just those two in midfield.

I never dream about football but I did last night and Spurs were playing United at WHL - we lost 1-0 :nervous:

Not sure I agree.

It will show whether or not we've become good enough at home to beat the current league leaders/a team against which we have a bad record in recent years.

If Spurs win then confidence in the team will surge to new levels and the gap to the top will be cut to just 5 points (albeit you'll still have a game in hand): that will have a big knock-on effect for our season thereafter.

I don't think you really believe you'll win the league. A successful season will be qualifying for the CL again and beating Milan. That means winning the meat and drink points you often struggle in (like Wolves last season) and managing the midweek games better.

On another point, my tickets for the game have fallen through. If anyone has any to sell (2 needed) PM me please. Equally, if anyone has any suggestions about good agencies or sources then I'd very much appreciate the help (PM again). We can discuss price by PM.

Applied but didn't get them and then had two tickets lined up but they've fallen through.

All help gratefully recieved.

Had a little go at predicting the teams/formations and what roles players might play in. Us in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 and Spurs in a 4-4-1-1.

Think Carrick might drop back towards the back four to cover the threat of Van der Vaart. Berbatov could play as a proxy lone striker but be helped out by Nani and Rooney getting in advanced positions while he drops short for ball from Fletcher and Anderson. Think Anderson's driving runs cold be a feature of this game, Huddlestone can be a little static. Rafael could be more limited in an attacking sense as Bale will drop back to help out BAE against the double threat of Raf and Nani.

Carrick v Van der Vaart may be the crucial battle of the game.

I'm confident we can get a win here. I don't think any defensive combination they put out will be good enough to deal with us and i can see Nani having a good day against Assou-Ekotto.

... Think Anderson's driving runs cold be a feature of this game, Huddlestone can be a little static. ...
Huddlestone is injured. One of Palacios/Sandro/Jenas will play in his stead.

Ah. Palacios has been in awful form when played as of late has he not?
I wouldn't say "awful", but certainly not - with the exception of one or two games - at the level he showed last season.

Personally I'd like to see Sandro start and given a chance for a few games.
