He'd rip the mls apart if a team is built around him.Reckon he'll be on his way to America with Valencia. Doubt he'll play every game for any club in any of the top leagues now.

The fact that we're offering him a deal, along with Young, Jones etc leads me to believe we won't be doing a whole lot of business this summer. You can only register a 25 man squad plus homegrown players etc, so we're not leaving much room unless there will be unexpected sales.
Keeping Mata is ridiculous
YesIs this place going to melt down at every questionable tweet all summer?

I don't think he fits into the team Ole wants to put together. But Isco's ball retention and composure is seriously lacking in our current team bar the exception of one player.
Orignal source
No white text?I'm not exactly for Mata staying but I can see why Ole would be. He's one of our best passers, very positive guy, and even though he's slow he is surprisingly at the top of the list when it comes to putting in a shift. (Can probably find the source if need be). He's also very good at keeping possession and doesn't panic under pressure. He was the reason we were the better side against Chelsea. A one year extension doesn't do much harm while we focus on RW, DM, RB, CB. If it's a longer contract then I say no.

We can get 2 more years out of a fully amortised asset. That's what our board must be thinking.
Darmian has been offered a 4 year deal apparently and Rojo signed a 4/5 year deal about a year ago iirc.Offer Rojo and Darmian new contracts while you’re at it.

We pay the deadwood more then Spurs pay the likes of Dele Alli. Why the feck would they leave if we're stupid enough to hyper inflate their value?Of all the deadwood Valencia will be the only who'll go.

Used to say the same about young.
I like Mata and he writes nice blogs but there's absolutely no point in keeping him any further.Yeah except Young has never been as good as Mata and he's two years older. We'd be keeping him for one more year. It's not the end of the world. And you're just going to ignore my point about prioritizing other positions? Or are you one of those living in footy manager world who think we're getting 7 players in the summer?
