Totally agree about the Telegraph, lazy journalism and a cheap shot. Was on his Twitter page and its filled with derogatory comments regarding the transfer dealings and how Chelsea hi-jacked the deal. Woodward has done a fantastic job with us and its seen with the players we have had/have in the team and also the sponsors and the money being brought into the club.
I reckon Pedro wasn't totally convinced on LVG and his philosophy and was stalling. The way LVG said the ball was in Pedros court gave the impression that we have made an offer of contract and gave certain assurances but he wasn't totally sold on the idea. Then the decision was made to pull out of the deal on Tuesday night, Barca alerted Chelsea after they made an enquiry a week previous, and things have went from there. To say they hi-jacked the deal is a bit off the mark I reckon. Once we declined Pedro I then think Chelsea made contact, and as Mourinho needed something different up front he got the deal fast tracked.
