You take money and you want to buy replacement who will cost as much but inferior quality, it's always risky to sell settled GK, especially the one like De Gea.
I'm not so sure about that - you could get a very good keeper for less than the money you would get for De Gea and the difference to the team would not be that much, certainly not as much as an outfield player. This is just my opinion on keepers generally though - there are plenty of very good ones about and the difference between them is much less pronounced than the difference between two comparitive outfield players.
