Have been away from this place for a couple of weeks so can someone give me a very quick rundown on where we currently are with Fabinho?

I see Di Marzio has stated we've made a bid for him and he's edging closer to a move, but there still seems to be a real lack of belief this is genuine.

Is it because MEN continue to distance us from him?

Considering Di Marzios reputation on here I'd have thought if he linked us with him he would be fairly concrete but the atmosphere on here makes it seem we're not even remotely interested.

Ah, so that MediumSport or whatever the feck it's called isn't reporting it? If that's the case then I think we should ban footballitalia as it's an aggregator account anyway.

He's one of the top players in the league when it comes to crossing accuracy. It's the numpties on the other end of them that don't put them away enough. Guess that is why you have this perception.

He's not a particularly great crosser of the ball though, is he? He either chips it in slow or absolutely twats it low, because he doesn't seem to have the willingness or ability to actually whip in a cross. Those are the type of crosses that attackers want coming in, because they create the best chances. A chipped cross gives defenders more time to get there, and the smashed crosses are really difficult for forwards to adjust in time and convert.

His crossing is rubbish. He mostly just smashes it in to the shins of a defender.

Is he?
His signature moves for years have to be to stop dead like a statue, or absolutely powerdrive the ball at maximum force usually seeing the ball fly off a defender's shin.
Yet if you watch clips of from that season Rooney went goal crazy, many are Valencia floated crosses. He stopped doing those.
 
That article is so depressing. We hope to sign a player Chelsea don't want; we've not made any breakthrough to sign Morata, meaning our strike force going in to pre-season could be Rashford and Martial; and we're no closer to signing Perisic. Can't believe we're spending all this time chasing Matic and Perisic.
 
Well looks like this summer Mourinho is assembling a squad full of players the caf majority don't want :lol:
