I think we have to face the truth that Mou isn't going to make the flashy signings if they don't fit into our system. He's going to look for players who he thinks will help him win and If that's what we want, then we should support whoever he signs.
He's here to win trophies, and if he believes Matic will help us, then we should be happy to sign him.

It's also funny that people think they know better than the hugely successful Mourinho. If, and let's be honest...it's all media speculation at this point, Mou has picked Matic over Fabinho, then surely he has his reasons. We have no clue wtf is happening behind the scenes. Can you please stop this we know less than the successful Mourinho. If we cant talk about the transfers and the manager's decisions why the hell we have this forum for?

Here we go. The "I've never watched him, so surely no one else could have watched him" brigade.

I know it doesn't suit your view but it is in fact possible to watch non-English football, and it's also unsurprising that on a forum of tens of thousands of football fans, quite a few of them will have watched enough of Fabinho to form an opinion. The fact that you haven't watched him much or the fact that you're pre-emptively defending the club if Jose goes for Matic over Fabinho doesn't change that fact.

It is utterly normal and completely understandable for someone to prefer Fabinho over Matic, based on observing their performances, not following random internet posters' opinions.

But you actually have people who watched him about 3 or 4 times and concluded he's all that. Same wit Bernardo Silva.
 
Seems Donnarumma closed his instgram account after being hacked ( according to him ).

How do you know how much they've watched him and why do you care? I certainly don't. Don't worry about mass forum opinion if you distrust their legitimacy, just form your own.

Monaco were probs the most entertaining team in Europe last season, would bet a lot of people watched them pretty regularly.

I agree but I checked and think the transfer window opened on Friday he 9th of June and we have already signed a player nearly 2 weeks ago also city, Liverpool have signed

Or maybe I am not understanding you

Well, yeah, I'm saying that not everyone who wants Fabinho is simply jumping on the bandwagon as the poster said. I don't care if anyone else has watched him or not watched him, generalizing because you don't like the opinion is wrong.

Where have I generalized? Did I say every poster who wants Fabinho haven't watched him a lot?

I won't stop it because just like you are free to disagree with the managers decisions, or rather I should say perspective of potential decisions, I am free to inject an alternative viewpoint highlighting the often ill informed and nonsensical opinions espoused therein. I never said people can't discuss it, I merely inferred that many opinions are utter bollocks. As you may believe mine to be. It's all good.

Exactly the point I was making.

I actually like Fabinho from the little I have seen of him - but Matic is also a very good player.

This. It's ok if people prefer Fabinho but calling Matic a turd and some actually being shattered cause we're closing in on him (supposedly). That's just... Strange.
 
I really don't understand people here being angry for preferring Fabinho over Matic. People have their own opinions, deal with it, live with it, if they build their opinion on Fabino over one match or thirty that's their own problem. For me I made my opinion over 10 matches. In 8 of them he was the better midfielder from both sides. He is fast, very quick feet, good long and short ball, good tackler, and he reads the game well, and he is 23 with very good room for improvement. I dont care if Matic won the league. It's not like he won it by himself. He was part of the team that won, and he was not essential in it.
