Well one things's for sure. If we indeed are not in the race for the likes of Shanchez and Dembele, Mou will have no right to complain about us being not at the level Manchester United should be. Our own fault if we aren't going for players like that when they become available.

They might prefer to go elsewhere. Really nothing we can do in that instance.

People think just throwing enough money will tempt players.

Maybe he simply doesn't want to join us and prefers City because of his relationship with Pep and he knows Pep's system very well so it's a guaranteed success for him ?

I don't know why people here don't put the player's opinion factor in mind. We won't enter the bidding war for a player unless we contacted him and knew he wants to join us, otherwise we will bypass him to other targets. Sanchez might not want to join us, nor even Bayern. I think he only wants City.

The same guy he fell out with and got sold by?

There are very few rumors linking us with wingers. You know - the ones that can beat a defender and swing in a cross, the one who can burst from the touch line near the byline and pull a ball back. The only player of that type we have is Valencia and we are only linked with Perisic. And we definitely need such a bloke.
We must be doing something under the radar. I would be really surprised if we don't pull such a deal - I would call it a fail of we don't sign a true winger.

Déjà vu.

Yep, Guardiola admitted that he misused Sanchez at Barcelona. I wonder what are his plans for him now at City?! Surely not as a CF or Sergio Aguero is on the verge to leave then?!

Pep clearly doesn't rate Aguero that much so that won't be an issue for him.

There's no question that Kun is not first choice for Pep going forward. Whether the player accepts a backup role remains to be seen but he could be moved, no question. Depth is important but player will have to decide if that suits him as he is signed thru 2020. Perhaps he would be part of a deal to land Sanchez in the first place

Sanchez relationship with Pep??? He left because he would play on the wing no longer, he hated his final season at barca playing on the wing. when they bought a striker he knew he'd never get a chance. He wants to be the central striker and at arsenal i think it was his best games, remember him sulking on the wing last season. He'd be behind Jesus and Aguero as a striker he'd be instead of navas or someother make weight on either wing or as a front 3 but it would be reliving his hated barca role that he wanted out from.

Stop the myth now, there is no strong relationship between Pep and Sanchez past they know each other.

False 9. Alexis problem at barcelona was Messi. He needs the ball and freedom to find his own position on the pitch to be effective. At barca he could never have either within that system, with Messi. He could have done a job in the current barca team in Neymar's place

There was some dissonance between Boateng and the bosses during last season. Still, we'd be beyond stupid to let him go.
What's his fitness like now? Didn't he struggle all last season with injury?

May well be true but I also wouldn't put too much faith in that being a reality either. Basically, no one really knows for sure so time will tell.

Thought they had rich new owners and were going up in the world... THIS is who they sign??

Quite a bit of their fringe players are about to leave, so they need some versatile players to improve their squad depth and Borini fits the bill.
