Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Everyone wants be first and the majority of the time they land flat on their face. There is that saying though, throw enough shit and it'll stick eventually.

There should be a website that records all of their supposed "exclusives" and how accurate they are.

It is funny though isn't it? Seeing Chelsea seem to be how everyone should conduct their business. Yet Jose was supposedly p'd. It appears Conte is even more p'd.
Don't mind Jose being pissed. He has every right to expect some transfers to be concluded for pre-season. And club has to look for its long term interests too. Part of the package.

For texting Costa that he's not in his plans? Yeah, bit daft to make it so clear he's available. With Atletico probably the only club interested and Costa wanting to move there, there's no incentive to pay that much. They'd be lucky to get half of that.
Yea, pretty daft that. I considered him the best striker in PL for the first half of the season. With how things played out with respect to the China interests was his to blame. But then Conte texting him was naivety. Atletico was already interested last season and he would have gone for 50 mill easily. Not right now though.

Matt Law is the most reliable Journo for Chelsea.

Yeah, but he's VERY biased towards them. He's supposedly close to Abramovich so I wouldn't be surprised if he's printing this to show Chelsea fans and their manager that they tried, but big mean Manchester paid his agent more (ironic considering the Hazard situation).

Duncan will now claim that we're signing two Lukakus.

Looking at the Caf, I can see that for quite a number of people if Lukaku doesn't hit the ground running, he's going to turn into a 'slag-off' scapegoat every match.......pity.
Yeah I can see your fans losing patience quite quickly with him on his bad days. he can at times look like a lumbering donkey with all the grace of a chicken on a dance floor . He is an exceptional goalscorer however and if he adapts he'll thrive.

That's true. Either way we will know over the next 24 hours I think.

It's just Matt Law (pro Chelsea) trying to save face for the club as he says 'Chelsea aren't willing to match Raiola's fees'. I.e. That's the only reason we missed out on Lukaku.

Exclusive: Chelsea match Manchester United's offer for Romelu Lukaku

Are they seriously still after him? Lukaku is in Los Angeles right now partying with Pogba while waiting for his medical.

The desperation attempt by Chelsea is hilarious.

It is also possible that Chelsea are willing to match United's bid but not willing to match Raiola's fee.

What a terribly biased article.

So if he joins Chelsea it's because of sporting reasons but if its United it's because he wants to coin it for Mino.

What nonsense.

Who cares really. As long as he signs for us.

That's the thing that calms me actually.

Raiola is very strong and he moves his players as he wants. If he's on our side, the player will be ours.

Rooney is a lot better than some are willing to admit. Obviously not top class enough to command a starting berth in the most important position for United, but still very good in his own right. The echo-chamber narrative that makes him out to be useless is ridiculous. And then when people are presented with evidence that they're wrong, they're confused rather able to re-assess the reality.

Then why doesnt he perform for us anymore?

He wore one two years ago

XXL size too.

"And united are getting him because of mino riola fee" . Why is this biased journalism always against Man united? Why do this negetive propoganda float around the papers. It happened very less under fergie.

this one of the most idiotic transfer articles I have ever read. If he join united or Chelsea Raiola will have his cut, its not like if he joins Chelsea he will join them for free and Raiola will get nothing. So stupid from the journalist.

Yeh I just read the article. It's strange. Why couldn't he be joining us for football reasons as well. Makes us sound like we are some chump side with lots of coin. We are a far bigger club than Chelsea on the grand scheme of things and I'm sure Chelsea will match our pay package. So how is he joining us for money. It's all over the shop

Rooney will always be one of the biggest stars who ever played for the club, his name will be on the top of best goalscorers of all time, the years he gave to entertain us will always be remembered. Good luck WR8&10 in the rest of your football future.
Over the moon, we've got the Roon.

Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Chelsea aren't willing to pay the agent fee, then unless Lukaku sacks Raiola he ain't going to them? Like us with Hazard.

Despite all the evidence it looks like we're getting him, when a team like Chelsea put a bid like that in, there's always a worry they've been encouraged to do by Lukaku and his agent...
Hope this is resolved in our favour soon or we'll look absolute chimpola

Everton presumably won't care one way or the other, so it's all down to the player. He's free to take either offer.

But we're also giving them Rooney so surely they can't match our offer right?
