Llorente was not good enough as a backup for Juventus nor Sevilla, and is not good enough for Chelsea. Weird.
I'm assuming he'll be third choice, behind Morata and Batshuayi. Win-win scenario for both sides, provided he's on low enough wages and happy with playing the odd game here and there.

Says no club have made an offer for Dembele.

Renato Sanches: "I want to play more: Milan is an interesting option"

Chelsea's attack will be weakened, I can't see Morata having close to the influence Costa did. Which is good for the rest of us.

Dortmund in talks with a potential buyer for Mikel Merino. Emre Mor's future is uncertain.

I actually admire Conte's desire to sign Llorente. It shows that he has a very specific plan. You see some clubs take this crazy scatter gun approach where they go for a poacher, then they don't sign him and they go for a target man and it just becomes clear there's no real plan in place (West Ham spring to mind), but Conte knows exactly what he wants.

New contacts from Juve for Matuidi.

The interesting bit

Given the difficulties to get to Matic, who is ahead of United, and Emre Can, Liverpool does not want to surrender, the Bianconeri have reopened negotiations for what was one of the first goals to strengthen the midfield

Yep exactly.

Seems to be the likely pair and while both will improve us, I hope they are smoke screens for much better players.
Perisic isn't a smokescreen he is a winger that offers something different than what our current wide players do. Hopefully we have an alternative as Inter are being Cnuts about selling him.

Matuidi isn't that bad a backup plan, no? An achievable target, wouldn't cost anywhere near Matic and starts in the same national side with Pogba, there may be a strong partnership developing right there

You'd expect so, although Inter don't seem to be budging with Perisic, and from what Jose has been saying, about possibly settling with only one more player as opposed to two, it seems that we haven't got any back up options to Perisic like we have Matic.

Which is a shame, as there are at least 10 wingers who could improve our team. Looks like Arsenal are getting Lemar.

The same partnership that nullifies Pogba in the NT?

So what do we reckon , what will we hear at those pressers tonight from barca and psg? It would be funny if it turned out to be nothing important.

I'm sure it will be nothing. Neymar just looking for some love and attention as he likes to do every few months. PSG just going full muppet mode and allowing themselves to be used.

Not Matic's biggest fan but I would definitely prefer him over Matuidi.

Don't think that's what the article is saying but I think the opposite. Matuidi for about £20/25m seems a great buy.

How about Rabiot? I'm sure if he is any good at all PSG wouldn't be selling but was just wondering hypothetically regarding his overall quality and style of play?
