Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Mourinho ruled Bale out a few weeks ago so I'm not sure why Jackson says this is a blow.

Because fans who click on the Bale articles genuinely believe that we are in for Bale...even though Bale has stated quite clearly that Madrid is where his future lies and Jose has said he is not in for Bale.
There are many in here who still believe that Griezemann will join in January, for example. Fans just don't want to come to accept the truth, so will keep believing...

Jamie Jackson said in a Full Time Devil's video after the EL final that Jose was "obsessed with signing Lukaku."

The problem we have right now with the transfer forum is that Di Marzio is lauded as some kind of transfer god whilst the likes of Jackson and Custis are 'gutter press'. Now, I hate Custis and don't rate Jackson but the both of them have been bang on the money when it comes to Utd this summer. Di Marzio is great for Serie A etc.
Is this the video

Must be purely for the dividends and bragging rights, no way the Glazers will give up any substantial amount of shares.

It's only a matter of time before the Glazers sell up.

It's getting to the point where a £200 million annual transfer budget will barely get you two first team players. That's not sustainable for the Glazers.

If we start winning again it won't be a problem.

Get the feck in...

(not saying I know anything about the validity of this storey) It is only a matter of time until someone one/group take-over from the Glaziers. It just makes sense that the board will strategically see what is going on with these Billionaire owners and will go with the "if you can't beat em join em" approach. The biggest club in the world will always have these types looking to swing their billionaire balls to show who the daddy is. They will compete with each other out of pride. There will come a time when the board will see we can't compete against teams circumnavigating FFP rules and spending ridiculous amounts of cash and are willing to lose money as opposed to making profits like us to pay shareholders etc.

I will tell you what though, you watch how fast new and suffocating FFP rules that actually get enforced if this were to take place...

If we have the cash source like PSG, there is no FFP that can prevent us to buy. Our revenue is healthy enough. What kind of rule would prevent somebody to spend his own money?

There's a reason why City were purchased and not us, a billionaire wants his ego massaged, and for that to happen he needs to be seen to have single handedly given said club their success, any billionaire buying us would have the same outlay, but none of the gratuity from the fans that they would want.

My guess would be another London club being purchased by a billionaire, or probably another Italian club if it's a Chinese investor looking to compete with the recent Chinese takeover of Milan.

I'm listening...

Saying that of the 6 Glazer children that 3 were up for selling their sharees (part of the majority 80% which the familly own). Apparetnly they are feuding over it. Its Also saying that Avram and Joe Glazer don't want to sell because they see it "as a trophey asset".

In the current climate, I think we are better off being sold to an oil rich state and beat everyone else at their own game. Feck it, it will only get worse.

They will find a way. Like a spending cap for instance. Also if we were to try and spend more than profit even though our potential new owners in this hypothetical situation were minted then they would stop that.

Varela set to move back to Uruguay.

Always thought he was absolutely crap.

funny this morning i was watching a video of all of Rashfords goals for the first team so far and this first 4 goals he scored Midigland and Arsenal were all set up by Varela putting in absolutely perfect crosses in the box from the right side.

If that's case, I think SupermLeague would be born since many rich clubs would be affected. Why should the sake of the minnow teams to stay relevant? Especially clubs like us who work our way.

I totally agree with this...

If the worlds biggest footballing brand and richest club gets anything like the backing of PSG or City... You watch how fast Fifa and Uefa try and put a block to it. FFP will not be as big a hinderence to United Real or Barca then, as it still is to city or Bayern. PSG are not in the top 10, which is made up of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Juventus and Tottenham.

So I can see a version of FFP coming into play that obstructs us and others in the top 5 and allows a certain french club competeas to not be left behind.

I think that Dad did that originally bought us but after he died the kids got hold of the reigns. Their motivation sounds like a play thing in comparison if we are to believe the reports. or perhaps they are waiting for a massive buyout to in one big hit?
I do know that half of the kids, there is 6, want to stay with united, jole bryan and avram(spelling) but the other 2 sons and daughter think its better to sell up and invest in more secure businesses or art or ponies for the kids or buying land on the moon. Who the feck knows what these loopers would spend it on.

As far as i know thats all sports not just united but united is by far the most lucrative.

I am not their biggest fans but i am also not in the glazers out clique.

Qatar poverty? you surely don't know Qatar :D. Income per capita.

Silva said: “Cristiano and Nani both told me that Manchester is a great city.
“Of course, they played for United, but they said that both clubs are amazing and that I would enjoy the Premier League because it’s the best league, the stadiums are always full, and the people love football. They lived outside the centre, while I am staying in the city.

“But they said it was a great place to live, with nice people, and that I would enjoy it.

“Before I arrived everyone was telling me, ‘Oh, Manchester is so bad, you won’t like it’.
“But since I arrived I have realised that the city is great and that the people are really nice.

“The only thing is the weather. That has been a little bit of a shock, but the city is great – and so are the people. I like it a lot.”

Think this bit is misleading. Poor lad will get a shock when he sees the Emptihad in all its glory

Was literally about to say the same thing. Wembley for Spurs vs Juve today was only 1 tier full but can understand that in pre season, but most games this season in competative premier league football you're going to see City fail to fill the ground due to those made up roadworks that only City fans seem to drive in to.

Its not misleading. Its a blatant outright lie, written as pure click bait.

Ronaldo and Nani would win if they sued for misrepresentation.
But what are The Mirror supposed to do? It's not like the name Bernardo Silva can easily be turned into a terrible joke like Wilfred "DADDY COOL" Bony or David De "DONUT" Gea.
