I would too, he is still a good age and has the talent. Needs a fresh start and we could do with more quality players for sure. I dont care how much of an effort Lingard, Fellaini, Young (when fit) and Carrick provide, we need better to challenge in our own league never mind CL. I still pray we get someone else in.
If he goes to Spurs their midfield options will be very good with Ali, Barkley, Eriksen, Dembele, Wanyama, Dier etc
Not much of a story in that unfortunately, might go for Perisic, might go for Rose but if we do then perhaps next summer. Just rehashing the Mourinho presser where he said he wants four rather than three.

Agreed, can't see Rose & Walker going in one window, the drop off from Rose to Davies would seem to be bigger than Walker to Trippier at this point.
Are there any strong Spurs links at the moment? I still haven't really seen your lot linked with anyone majorly, Barkley & Aurier would seem to be the two I've seen most. Very surprised that the season is only a few days away and you haven't signed anybody yet.
Ballague seems to think this all stems from the Catalan press. I tend to agree with him for a change, don't think you'll sign him.
No way Liverpool sell Coutinho. If they do, they're effectively ending their season before it starts. He's that important to them.

Some months ago, there was a rumour about Spurs and United exchanging Rose and Shaw with some cash involved. Pochetino has always been a Luke Shaw fan. Nothing has validated the link yet but you never know.
I'm hoping for Perisic and a left back. Would settle for Aurier I suppose, but still leaves us short on the left with only Darmian and Young really trustworthy in that spot. A lot of our troubles would be solved if Shaw were to come good, though.
Only Barkley has been strongly linked so far. Other links have been much more tenuous.
Good. If it happens I think Poch will improve Barkley a lot.

All those people who said we could get Dembele cheap, will now be angry we didnt get him before the Barca windfall
We were never going to get him cheap. People just contienue to ignore the market. 'Perisic? Nah, I'd prefer to just add £20m and get Dembele'. Groan.
