Yep. And believe me, as a fellow welshman, i would love nothing more than to see Gareth Bale, who is obviously world class, marauding down the wings for Man Utd. I would be over the moon with his signing, but, like you said, just let it bloody go.

Tbf Darmian's done quite well since the end of last season and looked good in the pre-season. Looked decent going forward against Sampdoria. Hopefully he'll continue getting forward regularly during the season.

Pretty convinced we'll be signing a player that can either cover there or start with Valencia as it's clear he can't play every week and in midweek also.

I look at it as an answer to a few simple questions:
Is TFM good enough to have a long term future at United?
- if Yes, move to next Q. If No, sell.
Will TFM help us win the league with meaningful contributions?
- If Yes then keep. If no, then next Q.
Will TFM benefit more from a season loan than bit part role in cup games?
- if Yes then loan. If no, send him back to the reserves until needed.
So really, the pressing thing now is we must get a replacement that would start ahead of Darmian.
TFM needs games to develop. He certainly didn't get enough last year.
