Dortmund are worse. They're just trying to get the best price for the player, doubt they care much about the player.
Doubt 100mil gets you much nowadays, at least in terms of improving or making up for losing Coutinho. It's not like when Rafa was going bargain bin shopping for quantity over quality. Must say, Liverpool did well enough in the beginning of the window, but the current prices being thrown around would result in maybe getting 2 decent players for that 100mil. Everyone wants a piece of the Neymar extravaganza, so prices will be a bit out of whack. It would be better if Barca waited a window or 2 to spend that cash, as they won't be getting much as things stand (unless they activate moderate release clauses).
Well, the 25% will be pretty handy if the fee ends up being 130m euros though, wouldn't have sold him for that cheap then!
Wasn't this Spurs' thoughts when they sold Bale? And also Liverpool's when they sold Suarez? Those both went well...

They don't need or want to sell, and they know Barca have the money and need to replace Neymar. Plus this late in the window it will be very hard for them to replace him.
By that logic, how much do you value Mahrez at?

Why not? They don't want to sell, so if the player forces the move, at least they'd get a hefty fee for him. They also know Barcelona have the Neymar money, so are looking to take advantage of it. Everyone would have done the same.
What do people want Dortmund to do? Give Dembele for free just because he's acting like a spoilt brat and the mighty Barcelona want him?
Think we're not in for Dembele because we're on the Pulisic trail.
And Rennes would get 25% of the Dembele fee so in the end it would be Rennes €50m (original fee + 25% from this transfer), Dortmund approx €100m so disparity in transfer fees wouldn't be that great.
The reason Dortmund got Dembele for cheap was because of that clause.
Plus his contract was ending and the fact that he was only willing to move to Dortmund.

But he is right. If he sells Coutinho, to buy in an equivalent player would be near impossible.
Basically, there is no amount of money that they should sell for. The same thing applied to Suarez, when Rodgers sold him. By selling him, Rodgers effectively gave himself the sack.

Monaco denies any deal. Also according to RMC, Monaco didn't receive any offer and Mbappé hasn't told to the club whether he wanted to leave or stay.
Not sure what is wrong with these dumb MF. He could have insisted in a decent buyout clause when he signed for them last year. There is no law required for that. He was an in demand player who could have gotten that clause if he insisted on it.
Their player and they can do whatever they want. They clearly don't want to sell their key player and they can demand as much as they want.

Making the best of bad situation for Barcelona I can get on board with that im no fan of Barcelona and there transfer strategy.

What people don't understand is this transfer market is so out of control now nobody is going to be afford anyone next season somebody needs to step in after this summer because apparently according to folk here a €15 million player going for x10 that the season after is ok and it isn't, I knew the Neymar deal would ruin the markets we knew it.
I dont blame Dortmund for trying to screw Barcelona over they think they can just walk into a club and everyone has to do as they say about time clubs showed them they can't get there own way.
Or they could have held on for another year and pocket the fee themselves. Maybe he wouldn't be valued at €130m, but 100% of €80-90m is still a lot better than €15m + 25% of €130m
He's not worth that though, Not even close. If Dortmund have upped the price to warn Barcelona off that's fair enough but if genuinely believe that is how much he's worth there nuts!

Ofc he's not worth that much, no player is but there's just so many ways you can say no to a rat club such as Barca, that is known for publicly luring the player when all their players and staff start praising them and saying how a great fit they are for Barca.
Dortmund obviously don't want to sell and they have every right to slap on some outrageous price, so if Barca really want him they can pay up. There's no need for Dortmund to be sport and sell the player at a Barca acceptable price.
You don't reach these levels by playing solely against Ligue1 sides for a small team. Dembele's exposure on the big theater playing for a big club made his price sky rocket.
They are under no obligation to sell him for a cheaper amount. In fact given the timing it makes sense for them to try and make any suitors pay dearly for him.
There is no master list produced each year by some fictional impartial body that creates a list of which players should go for what amount of money. Whether he is worth it or not, really does not matter. To Dortmund they either get to keep him or they get a shit ton of money. To Barca they decide they want him bad enough to pay the fee (which in a way makes him worth that fee) or they decide to pass.
