I think it's sad you can't have a different perspective without being accused of being a WUM. I've given my reasons why I think we should go for him. Am I not allowed to have that opinion and share it?
I can equally understand why people say he's not what we need. But I'd still like him if money wasn't an issue, but as I already conceded we don't have unlimited oil money to buy everyone we want.

Levy and Pochetino aren't afraid to do business late in the window but they do already have Erikson and Alli who play in a similar position which may explain why they're not seeming desperate.

Rather play with Tami up front, tbh. Without Gylfi flinging in dead balls he'd barely have a touch of the ball anyway. Swans need to spend some of the cash they've just got and quickly. I'm thinking more of a squad player and really effective bench player. We have a lot of flashy players who play where Sigurdsson would play. So he offers something different.
I'd certainly be happier seeing Sigurdsson coming on when we need a goal, than bringing on Fellaini to play hoof balls into the box.
Sigurdsson no worse than Perisic at that fee one could argue. Also the former is Premier League proven.

Sure he's alright and gets decent numbers. But he's not a signing that screams ambition.
If you don't need to earn shrewd anymore then sign more talented players. This signing is like going for the shrewd option but paying big for it.
He'll prolly do well for you but smacks of a signing to cement your position in the league rather than take you anywhere further.
Sigurdsson is not a winger though.
You make it sound like he's not very good when he was one of the most productive and could be argued the best in his position in the league last season. We are only in the EL qualifiers so far too, so it's not like we can go for more talented players and i feel like you're doing him a bit of a disservice tbh, he's a good player.
Everton have bought very well this summer they will be contending for 4th place this season with the squad they have. Sigurdsson is a good player for them, previously they would of signed someone like Tom Cleverly or Darren Gibson at least they've taken a step up in buying better players.

Disagree completely. Sigurdsson is about as good a signing as Everton could hope to make. Why would an Ousmane Dembele have any interest in going to Everton? No player of that level will join Everton. Sigurdsson is good enough to play for a top 4 PL team (though I don't agree that he would suit us). It's a very good signing that improves Everton significantly. They still need a proper goalscorer though. Rooney will get a decent number of goals, as will Sigurdsson and Sandro, but they're still missing a direct replacement for Lukaku. The rest of their team has improved over the summer.
Siggurdsson only had 5 assists from open play last season. He's good on set pieces though.

Tbf you said it was crazy we were not in for him. It was a bit of an exaggeration even based off of your rationale since the post.
To be fair, he's PL proven, a transfer within the league, at an age close to his potential, a very good record for a relatively small club like Swansea. I'd say that is a good and progressive buy for a club like Everton. It's not like they've got the first pick of the best talents around.

Playing for a team like Swansea that isn't a bad tally, especially added to his 9 goals. Set piece delivery is also very important so don't see why those assists should be discounted. You're acting like it's as easy to get huge goal and assist numbers for Swansea as it is for a club like City or even Everton
He's a limited player that is very good on dead balls. Let's not pretend he's anything more. Swansea got a great transfer fee, welldone to them.

Despite all their signings, Lukaku is a massive loss and they are still weaker than last year.
He had better output than everyone bar Zlatan at united, whilst playing for Swansea but sure he's an average signing.
