Moronic to keep a player that doesn't want to play for you it can only cause negative vibes in a dressing room.
It's far better than selling your best player to a rival and having the fans turn against you at the start of the season.Moronic to keep a player that doesn't want to play for you it can only cause negative vibes in a dressing room.
Not only him it seems, Ozil and Chamberlain want to jump ship too..Moronic to keep a player that doesn't want to play for you it can only cause negative vibes in a dressing room.

This "top table" argument does become tedious. We haven't finished in the top 3 of the epl for 4 years. That's the first objective. Winning the ucl is something Juventus, PSG, Bayern haven't come close to recently, never mind any english team.
Smash your bottom 13 teams home and away, and nick points off the top 5. That's the SAF model and what Jose is focused on. The UCL is a longer term project.
They would've got rid of Walcott by now, but he's on 150k a week which puts potential buyer off.Wenger also said in his last press conference that Wallcot will be staying this season however it's uncertain whether he will be here the next one.
Arsenal might end up having a baffling squad next year considering they'll have to spend stupid money to replace everyone.

They can call the job title anything they like but I think having someone like him around for Lukaku but especially Rashford and Martial could be a huge positive. For some reason Zlatan really doesn't strike me as a coach

Can't see they have a choice; they need him to have any hope of finishing in the top four. It's far better than selling your best player to a rival and having the fans turn against you at the start of the season.

Guess that's why there are reports we're done for the summer then. Don't think we've done enough tbh.
That is just nonsensical
Nope, €20m + some add-ons.How much did they pay for Matuidi? €30m? Juventus always looking out for a deal. He is just 1 year older than Matic, so not a bad deal at all.

First of all, the idea that Zlatan was the reason Martial and Rashford were playing badly is absurd because Martial's form had already dropped at the Euros. Secondly, He didn't play that much better during his first season; He was just performing better than other players and was being given consistent game time by Van Gaal. Mourinho doesn't tolerate inconsistency and lack of hard work; That's why Martial is finding himself on the bench more often than not, not because he's playing with Zlatan.Martial and Rashford were both playing much beter before Zlatan arrived at the club and since Zlatan has gone they have picked up their former form back again. I don't think we need Zlatan to help these young players progress.
Also Lukaku has been mighty fine on his own and he doesn't need someone like Zlatan to tell him how to be a striker.
Zlatan is all about Zlatan. And when he can be your star player on the pitch the man has enough confidence and leadership to carry a whole team. But if he needs to play a role from the sidelines, I'am not sure how that ego of his will work out. If he can't be the big guy on the pitch nor the big guy on the side (Mourinho is) than how will Zlatan's ego feel and how long will it take before that starts poisoning the dressing room ? It is one thing being forced to sit on the sideline due to being injurred, it is another matter playing that role when fully fit.
Zlatan thinks himself the king, that is his strenght and kings don't serve, they rule, so a serving job like a coach doesn't strike me as a role for Zlatan.

Can we finally show some interest in Draxler? We may be able to sign him at a decent price if PSG get desperate to balance the books.
Nothing to add to the discussion, but do you by any chance have a link to that Rashford interview? Sounds very interestingWait eh what??? So Zlatan is the reason Martial and Rashford missed all of those chances last season?
Doesn't seem quite fair to me, but hey ho... opinions.
By any chance have you seen any of the interviews with Rashford when he talks about trying to sit at Zlatan's table during meals? Or him describing how the younger players followed him around? Just wondering.
I think he'd have an amazing impact on the team and welcome him back in any way shape or form he can contribute to the team.
Sounds like you've watched him extensively. He's bang average tbh
I think it was in reference to caffers slagging him off.

@ValenciasDrilledCrosses no worries. here's a few articles below
i know it's all Rashford. Martial doesn't usually talk so much or do a lot of interviews.
Rashford talks gushingly about what he has gleaned from Ibrahimovic. “You will see the benefits in years to come,” he said. “What I have learnt from him is irreplaceable.”

The first thing I can tell you is that his table for breakfast and for meals he is surrounded by the young ones, the kids,” Mourinho was quoted as saying by the Independent. “Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford, these are the guys who are with him at the table. He knows what he can be for them.”

'Playing as a lone striker is a bit different because you are on your own and obviously it depends on what centre-halves you are up against and what their skills and their characteristics are. But Zlatan has been a big help,' Rashford told Sky Sports.
'He has spoken to us a lot about things he has come up against in the past and you have to listen because he has been there, he has done it and he has won a lot of trophies and that is what we all want to do.
