So Sky are saying United and Chelsea were chasing Aurier, but he's chosen to move to Spurs because of Levy and Pochettino

They'd say anything to sound interesting, tbf.

But is it really laughable that a player would like to be a part of Pochettinos project at Tottenham? I actually like the thought, that the bigger club isn't neccesarily more attractive.

Really? Bigger more successful organisation would like to employ you and pay you double of what the smaller, unsuccessful company has offered and you'd choose the latter? That makes no sense to me.

Nope. He just gets injured less. I see the signing as more of a kick in the balls for us when we need a player of his quality, and City don't, yet are still getting it done.

City actually needs another forward, strange as it may sound. Today's elite sides use about six out and out forwards for quality in the first eleven and depth on the bench to be able to handle multiple competitions.

Right now City has Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Mane, with one of Bernado, De Bryune and silva pushing forward enough. Alexis will be a very good addition to them in that regard. Nevertheless, there is this saying in football transfer circles, ' A super star player is never a luxury buy'. Alexis will always be much more than 'kicking a rival team in the balls'. We know he will add goals, assists and star power to the City squad.

Draxler's destined to regress into his Wolfsburg form at Arsenal, any attacking player should be wary of stagnating. Well apart from Ozil who's in his element with the lack of pressure.

Sky Sports reporter - "I think it's time to speak to our sources at City to try and get some clarification about Alexis Sanchez"

As if they wouldn't have already done that at 11 am on transfer deadline day.

In other words, they haven't got a fecking clue what is going on and are just chatting bullshit as per.

Llorente, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Barkley and 'the Ox'.

Jesus, hardly inspiring is it.

Glad we got it done early.

Lads, I know we're all slightly disappointed we won't get some mental deadline day signing, but when we get Griezmann in January, it'll all be worth it.

Probably going to be disappointed when he turns up at Barca

Why would Barca go for Griezmann? Besides, he's bezzies with Pogbae, his brother is a Utd fan and he idolised Beckham. You know he's getting that number 7.

Looks like this will be the busiest deadline day in years! So many of the 'top teams' involved with many players. Wish we could add another player too, but I'm not going to complain if we don't.

If mahrez is going to Chelsea I hope we can get Wilian

He would either be here now, or we would have signed a pre deal to buy him, no way we take the risk of waiting for other clubs to come in January.

Barca will still want a "prestige" signing, I don't think he is that bothered, and wouldn't most players prefer to play in sunny spain with Messi and Suarez?

In fact I still expect Griezmann to extend his deal, improving his wages and increasing the sell on clause as a favour to Atleti

He literally just signed a new deal increasing his wages though.

@Redcy
Maybe he wants to play with Rojo and Lingard?
See how easy it is to make stuff up? I can do it too.
Maybe we should wait and see if Barca wants to spend 120m euros they don't have after a summer of spending 250m on Coutinho and Dembele.
Where would he play? Bench Messi?
