Trump Coronavirus (CV in US Politics)

Yep.

If he was suspected to have it then and covered up then his condition today may be more advanced than previously thought.
Don't we already know that Hicks got a positive result long before Trump was tested? I think it says rather more about the recklessness of those running the debate.

Apparently Pence was in the Oval Office with the president yesterday, both sans mask, yet he still gallivanted off to a campaign event today.

I don't know. Something just seems very off about all of this.

Has the chap who moderated the debate got his covid19 test result yet?

At the beginning of the pandemic, his age and condition would put him at 92% chance of survival. After a few months knowing much more how to fight the worse symptoms and knowing that he will have dedicated doctors and nurses 24/7, he has over 99% chances.

That if he really has the virus

Oh I know, I just needed an excuse to post his disgusting diet

That doesnt take into account that he has already been hospitalized, which happens to only ~10% of cases. Of those, 15% go on to develop serious symptoms that require a ventilator and then it becomes closer to a coin flip as to recovery vs. death.

Does the US presidency come with health insurance coverage?

Trump having difficulty breathing according to Acosta just now. Sounds pretty serious.

I would suggest perhaps the President of the world's most powerful country probably gets hospitalised at a lower threshold than I would, though.

Who's Acosta? Rings a bell as some TV presenter?

The latest reporting suggests that Trump's symptoms are more serious than they are letting out, according to anonymous sources inside the WH. It is a big deal for a president to be airlifted to a hospital, it is an extremely rare occurrence in modern history.

Yeah but covid didn't exist in modern history.

I wondered if he was making it sound dramatic because of how much he fecking hates him.
Didn't Tapper also get a serious bout of covid19?
If this gets really bad for Trump, CNN should let Tapper have the anchor for a few days, just for lolz

Yes. Medicare for Some.
Good to know. At least the hospital won't sit on it's bills.

My sympathy to all the doctors and nurses who now have to treat him though. Chances are a good lot of them like him as much as we do.

Ya that actually makes this a more serious situation, not less :wenger:
It makes it very obvious why they'd take him to hospital, even if he's not yet desperately ill.

I don't know. Something just seems very off about all of this.
What is the USA law for not quarantining or self isolating, and going into public events if you know you have covid19?
If the debate allegations are true, can Trump be charged?

I don't want to speculate but considering that they have already pumped Trump with experimental antibodies that have only been tested in 275 patients at the highest dose and hes already starting to have trouble breathing, it wouldn't surprise if he is put on a ventilator in a near future. This could go south really quick.

Yeah but covid didn't exist in modern history.
Reagan was rushed via car to a hospital from a hotel in 81, Bush I was flown from Camp David via Marine One in 91.

Those are the only two times in modern history where a president was rushed to a hospital in an emergency situation. We just don’t see it often.

My main takeaway from that picture is that wearing heels must really suck.

It's more or less de rigueur for females in the Republican party. Think 1950s housewife.

You sound pretty keen to speculate. No, worries, like, speculate away for all I care.

If Trump is having difficulty breathing, that is a really bad sign. That sort of disease progression goes past the stage of mere precaution.

Its 1.15am in UK. Should we order late night ice cream and get ready for an all nighter?

Yeah but in previous circumstances having a symptomatic coronavirus wasn't reason to rush a President to hospital. It's cause this one might kill him that is why even if he's just a bit tired and grumpy they'll rush him to hospital.
