Trump Coronavirus (CV in US Politics)

Jesus, Biden better bring a fecking hazmat suit.
Like his bestest mate

This will be a bad look when the second part of the disease hits him and he’s got to go back.

Exactly the kind of shit to be expected:
- downplaying disease even more;
- he is in top form and fit like never before (Biden could never do it);
- drugs and medication are working, we are close to vaccine and businesses will be fully open very soon making America great again while those weak Dems would shut it down;
- oh, and am the strongest man and president in history!

Too many people caught it, so hard to say he is faking it (although I definitely wouldn't bet against it). However, I don't believe he was at any time in any serious condition and no way they gave him that amount of medication.

He was full of shit before, but this will be something else until the elections.

A similar timeline for Trump would make him flatline a few days after the election. Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly happy with sometime in the next 10min, but to see Trump first lose to Biden and then get snuffed out by the virus he ignored for 10+ months would be a fitting end to this nightmare.

Do it remote. It would be fun to watch Trump have to deal with an elongated teleconference.
Imagine watching him get frustrated with a dodgy internet connection, then blaming it on Biden/the moderator’s internet “I didn’t freeze, YOU froze”

Is he not about to reach the point where most patients feel better and then rapidly decline?

One would imagine so, which is why it’s so daft of him to discharge himself. It’ll look pretty bad if they have to fly him back to the hospital come friday.

It’s to the point now where I literally don’t believe anything from any source.

If they report he’s dead I’m gonna wait until Pence has taken the oath before I believe it.

Yeah there is the cytokine storm hyperinflammatory phase where they usually decompensate but we don't know where in the timeline he is in because of how shady they've been. But even in his age bracket + comorbidities if you consider all cases it is comparatively higher risk but still "rare". Not sure how much the cocktail of things including the dex he's had is/has played a part in preventing that decline. I'd say they must be reasonably confident he doesn't have a massive superadded pneumonia or lung parenchyma issue or abnormalities in blood work to consider discharging him

A re-admission surely would be politically disastrous. How much of what he is doing is going rogue against medical advice and the docs unable to do anything is the question.
His tweet about covid though is such a dick move. To put other people's lives at risk for political gain.

This does not mean I will start taking risks, it just means I am less afraid of it.
What is missed by the callous, irresponsible message from Trump is that he got what most experts are saying are rare, not approved yet medications that most people that contract the disease cannot get yet. Almost all are saying the medications listed that he has taken so far are "aggressive" and most aren't used at the same time on patients. Not to mention most people wont have exclusive top class care he has access too.

All this show proves is he still doesn't care about regular citizens health and safety. As if we hadnt seen plenty of that play out with the dozens upon dozens infected from Super spreader site the White House so far this week.

Thanks for not letting me feel a little safer even for 15 min. I get your point, it just seems that we are better equipped to fight it compared to before and will prevent more deaths now. This does not mean I or my family will definitely survive if we get it, it just means we are more likely than before. Nothing beats a vaccine obviously.
Sorry, I didn't mean to beat you down with it; just trying to correct the perspective a little, since I don't think Trump's experience shows us that younger, healthier people are completely safe here. But as @MTF said, treatments have vastly improved in the past couple of months, and risk chances are much lower if you are indeed healthier and younger. So if you do get COVID-19, your chances of a good outcome (both survival and not having to go to the ICU - which is damaging also if you survive) have increased a lot. So that news is definitely positive.

Still, I would not say that's any reason to let your guard down. Every new person that gets COVID-19 is another one that can infect others - including directly or eventually people at risk. Also, now that numbers are spiking everywhere again, it will often be that if someone goes to the hospital for COVID-19 treatment, it means that someone else isn't getting their treatment for another condition. So even if you might be safer yourself now, it's as important as ever to ensure you're not catching this crap.

(Which I hope isn't just completely restating the obvious!)

I think that's what they've been trying to do since day one.

The conspiracy nuts will go into overdrive if Trump relapses and dies of covid after having "recovered" from it.
