You're essentially implying that any signing is a good signing simply because United will have 'good reasons to do so'.

I said "United will have good reasons to do so." And not that "...any signing is a good signing..." There is no guarantee any signing will be successful and that is always the danger of bringing in players from outside the club and especially from another country. Look at Felliani and Young / Anderson and Nani.

Portuguese and Italian press print just as much shite as the British

Portuguese seem the most ahead though. They print article saying the deal is absolutely done and this offer has been made....not even the preparing bid sort of stuff.

Gaitan signed for us 10 times. Garay 5 times.

There's a huge difference between playing on the left of a back 3, where you are basically a traditional CB with a sweeper/half-back dropping into the middle, and playing left back.

Depends entirely on how you use the man in the middle of the 3, Vlaar is hardly playing as a sweeper now and has De Vrij or Martins Indi making forays into the opposition half. Johan Cruyff has also talked about how he used the two on the edge as auxiliary full backs at Barcelona running beyond the opposition strikers in order to get them to track their runs and pull them away from their end.

Guardiola also did it with Alves and Abidal for a bit to great effect also.

That's the first thing that came to mind. We have no idea if there is any truth in it and no idea what LvG has planned. I think we should just enjoy the ride when he finishes the WC.

This.

This, I just don't believe.

I don't believe it either even though I think Perez is a good player. Mike Keegan tweeted the other day that our priorities right now are a centre-half and a defensive midfielder. Perez is neither. If we were looking to pick up any Argentine right now I'd think it'd be Biglia, that's excluding the luxury purchase of Angel Di Maria.

Isn't Perez a defensive Mid ?

I doubt many had heard of Enzo Perez until he came on in the last world cup game. Don't even see why we will be interested in him

Not to my eyes no. I don't remember seeing Perez play as a defensive midfielder for Benfica. He may have done but if he did I'm guess it was because either Almedia or Amorim were unavailable. Perez is an #8.

Didn't the Bilbao president said the same for Ander two days before he signed? But then Vidal has go no release clause :(

Spurs have a baldy man that says that every season, but ends up selling. :D

Are Waz reliable? Waz-online.de would be Rooney's official website URL if he had to set it up himself.

They're supposedly the best Wolfsburg newspaper.

Biglia's average and has had a shite season, no way he's good enough for us.

Nah box-to-box, a good one at that.

He's just won player of the season in Portugal, he's a quality player, no reason we wouldn't be interested.

Is Vidal the type to act the maggot and hand in a transfer request?

Doubt it, has Juve tattoos and the lot, can't see him fecking them over.

This year's Player of the Year if I have read correctly. But 28yr old.

Sanchez will join Arsenal and Di Maria will sign for either PSG or Monaco. Can't see either of then coming here. I'd prefer Nani to stay over Valencia but if he is needed for the Vidal transfer then so be it.

Nani seems to be a goner. Same with Zaha and Young might aswell leave at some point. It looks like we're selling off all our wingers bcos van Gaal doesnt want to play with em. But what about when he's gone? He's not here in 4years.

I have thought carefully the smart phone thing and I too am puzzled.
I'm guessing he thought United just threw a load of crappy old technology in front of themselves, for shit and giggles, and a Smartphone would be the modern equivalent. Nothing to do with all those boxes of shite being there because they were made by Sharp, the shirt sponsor.

When are we actually going to see some movement as regards United departures, United signings, Luis Suarez, Alexis Sanchez and a pile of other reported transfers?

What happened to Inter Milan? Thought it was pretty much a done deal at one point.

Expect movement to really pick up for 10 days after the WC is over with respect to bigger name transfers.

After the World Cup I'd imagine.

We've done well to conclude two major signings during the tournament.

any time i've seen Kroos play, its been more deep lying, not as a number 10

Most Bayern fans I know of dislike him as a deeper midfielder, they say he lacks the work ethic and awareness to be playing there. His best position appears to be as a #10 which is where he played for Bayern until they absolutely had to play him deeper because none of their favored CMs would stay healthy.

Hmm.. guess he didn't wanna leave the country or Inter didn't pay enough.

Good signing for Hull. His Career has gone nowhere last year but he is talented and should do well for Bruce.
